1 Applications Manager 1 Configuring OpenLM Agent v4.4 applications list for OpenLM Applications Manager The following document describes configuration of applications in OpenLM Agent and their setup in OpenLM Applications Manager. It is assumed that OpenLM Applications Manager is already installed and Allow edit product list flag default value is not changed for OpenLM Agent. Note: In order to restrict user from accessing configuration of OpenLM Agent s Product List, allow_edit_product_list parameter should be set to False in silent installer. 1. After installation go to system tray and click on OpenLM Agent Configuration: 2. Go to OpenLM Applications Manager tab and click Configure button next to Products list and paths to add or edit products that need to be managed by OpenLM Applications Manager:

2 Applications Manager 2 Note: Use automatic products detection checkbox is only needed for Bentley products. If you don t use Bentley product it can be left unchecked. If OpenLM App Manager Service status is stopped, press Run button to activate it.

3 Applications Manager 3 4. In the opened Products list menu click Add button and fill in the fields in Product editor window. Check Enabled checkbox to activate or uncheck to deactivate interception of a product:

5 Applications Manager 5 Name type in name of monitored application that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. ArcMap ). Description type in description of the application that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. ArcMap for testing ). Path type in full path of the directory that contains executable file of the application (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\arcgis\desktop 10.6\bin\ArcMap.exe). Parameters [optional] type in any required parameter for the application to be monitored by OpenLM Agent and reported to OpenLM Applications Manager. Note: OpenLM Agent will monitor only those applications/processes which are running with the parameter in question. Version [optional] number of application s version displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. 10.6). Vendor name of application s manufacturer displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. ESRI). 4.2 Adding one or several applications using Choose folder By clicking Choose button and then Choose folder it is possible to select folder with one or several applications:

7 Applications Manager 7 Click OK to choose the folder. Name type in name of monitored application or applications that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. 3 AutoCAD applications ). Description autofilled with folder s name. Also can be modified with description of application(s) that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. AutoCAD ). Path autofilled with path to directory that contains executable file(s) of application(s) (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\autocad). Parameters [optional] type in required parameter for the application or applications to be monitored by OpenLM Agent and reported to OpenLM Applications Manager. Note: OpenLM Agent will monitor only those applications which are running with the parameter in question. Version [optional] number of version of application(s) displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. 2). Vendor name of manufacturer of application(s) displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. Autodesk). 4.3 Adding an application using Choose file

8 Applications Manager 8 By clicking Choose button and then Choose file it is possible to select executable file of required application: Click Open button to select the file. Product editor window will appear:

9 Applications Manager 9 Name type in name of monitored application that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. acad ). Description autofilled with application s name. Also can be modified with description of application that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. acad.exe ). Path autofilled with path to directory that contains executable file of application (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\autodesk\autocad2017/acad.exe). Parameters [optional] type in required parameter for the application to be monitored by OpenLM Agent and reported to OpenLM Applications Manager. Note: OpenLM Agent will monitor only those applications/processes which are running with the parameter in question. Version [optional] number of application s version displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. v1). Vendor name of manufacturer of application(s) displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. Autodesk). 4.4 Adding application s process using Choose process To select application s process to be monitored by OpenLM Agent click Choose button and select Choose process :

10 Applications Manager 10 Select Process window will appear with a list of active processes. Choose required process and click OK button. Use Refresh button to update list of processes.

11 Applications Manager 11 If required process is not in the list since its not active yet, type in its name in New field and click OK button. Name autofilled name of monitored process that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. chrome ). Note that it can not be modified. Description autofilled with process name. Can be modified with description of process that will be shown in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. chrome). Path autofilled with path to directory that contains the process (e.g.chrome). Should not be changed. Parameters [optional] type in required parameter for the process to be monitored by OpenLM Agent and reported to OpenLM Applications Manager. Note: OpenLM Agent will monitor only those processes which are running with the parameter in question. Version [optional] number of application s process version displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. version 09). Vendor name of manufacturer of application s process displayed in OpenLM Applications Manager (e.g. Google). 5. Click OK button to apply the changes and add required application:
