3 Tournament Events The 3-Event feature provides a way to keep a boat within the strict guidelines of the event it is tracking. In addition, it provides a visual display of the track and the progress of the skier. The three events that are tracked by the feature are: Slalom event Jump event Trick event There are two modes for the 3-Event feature, Tournament and Recreational. When the skier icon is green and On icon is green, this indicates that the 3-Event feature is turned on and in Tournament mode. There are special skier icons that indicate when the feature is in tournament mode. The soft keys are always available while in 3 Event. - 3-

4 Tournament Mode Tournament Mode is limited to the set speed of the tournament event set speed. Tournament Mode is accessed by pressing the sixth button on the left side of the device. The word Tournament will be shown in the center of the screen. In addition the words, Event Mode will be displayed in the upper left corner of the screen. In this mode you can: Select/change events Modify the event settings once inside the event View the event details Recreation Mode Recreation Mode is identical to Tournament Mode without the set speed limitation. - 4-

5 Tournament Slalom The screen below illustrates the display available when the event being tracked is the Slalom event; the three-event feature is turned on and is in tournament mode. The soft keys on the right aid in setting up, controlling and tracking the Slalom event. The soft keys and what they provide is shown below the illustration. Soft Keys To use ZeroOff speed control for the event, press this soft key. When ZeroOff is turned on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen turns green and the ON/OFF indicator turns green and shows ON. - 5-

6 Soft Keys This soft key provides a set of soft keys that list the events. To change the event, press the appropriate soft key. The following events are available: Tournament Slalom Tournament Jump Tournament Trick Recreation Slalom Recreation Jump Wake Mode Cancel Press the UP and DOWN arrows to increase or decrease the set speed if ZEROOFF has is not turned on. NOTE: If ZEROOFF is turned ON, the set speed cannot be changed manually. The pull type is located next to the lower right portion of the speedometer. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to select the Pull Type. - 6-

7 Soft Keys UP/DOWN scrolls through available pull types X-FACTOR ON/OFF this setting is for additional throttle when entering the first gate of the slalom course EXIT saves changes and returns to the initial Slalom screen. TIMING RECAP displays a recap of the event scores. From here, return to the course view by pressing the Course View soft key. The following functions are available by pressing the MORE soft key: Recreation Mode Switch to Recreation Mode from Tournament Mode Wait Time Sets the Slalom Wait by using the UP and DOWN arrow keys. Course Manager Area to map a course. Up to 10 courses can be edited. (See How to Map a Course). - 7-

8 How to Map a Course Up to 10 courses can be mapped or edited at any time. Soft Key While in the event for which the course is to be edited, press [MORE]. The following screen is displayed with a new array of soft keys. Press [COURSE MANAGER] The following screen is displayed. It contains a list of the current courses and a new array of soft keys. Press [COURSE AUTO DETECT ON/OFF] if Auto Detect is currently on. This will turn off the auto detect function. - 8-

9 Soft Key Press the [UP] and [DOWN] arrows to navigate the course list. Press [EDIT COURSE] to select the course to edit. The following screen is displayed. To rename the course, press the [COURSE NAME] soft key. The following screen is displayed. - 9-

10 Soft Key Use the Arrow soft keys to navigate the keyboard to spell the name. There is a 15 character limit. Use [Select] to select the letter. When all the desired letters have been selected, press the [Save] soft key. Press the [Cancel] button to cancel the transaction. Use [Map Course] to select a course from the list of available courses maps. Use the Up and Down Arrows to navigate the list. Press [Continue] to access the Start Gate

11 Soft Key Press [Start Gate] to indicate that the start gate has been reached and to return to the Course Manager page. Press [Cancel] to exit the Edit Course screen. Press the [End Gate] soft key to save the course. Tournament Jump The screen below illustrates the display available when the event being tracked is the Jump event; the three-event feature is turned on and is in tournament mode. The soft keys on the right aid in setting up, controlling and tracking the Jump event. The soft keys and what they provide is shown below the illustration

12 Soft Keys To use ZeroOff speed control for the event, press this soft key. When ZeroOff is turned on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen turns green and the ON/OFF indicator turns green and shows ON. This soft key provides a set of soft keys that list the events. To change the event, press the appropriate soft key. 13 Soft Keys Press the UP and DOWN arrows to increase or decrease the set speed if ZEROOFF has is not turned on. NOTE: If ZEROOFF is turned ON, the set speed cannot be changed manually. The jump letter is a way to set the boat up to match the skill/aggressiveness level of the jumper. The higher the letter, the more aggressive the jumper. The boat has to respond differently depending upon the nature of the jumper. To set the Jump Letter, press the Jump Letter soft key. The following screen is displayed with the Jump Letter to the bottom right of the speedometer highlighted. How to Set the Jump Letter Press the arrow keys while on this screen to select a jump letter. NOTE: The jump letters will change as the arrow keys are pressed. Press [RTB ON/OFF] to TBD

14 Soft Keys How to Edit the Jump Letter Properties: Press the Letter Lookup soft key to edit the properties of the current jump letter. This action brings up the properties page. Press the [UP] and [DOWN] arrows to adjust the properties. Press [ACCEPT] to save the changes and [EXIT] to return to the previous page. The more button provides access to the following: Recreation Mode Turns the Tournament Mode off and returns to recreation mode. Power Factor - 41m - Course Manager Allows the editing of courses. 16 Tournament Trick The screen below illustrates the display available when the event being tracked is the Trick event; this tournament feature is turned on and is in tournament mode. The soft keys on the right aid in setting up, controlling and tracking the Trick event. The soft keys and what they provide is shown below illustration.
