3 BIBLIKON TUTORIAL MAIN NAVIGATION SITE BUILDER In the sitebuilder area you can create your stones, maps & project presentations. MEDIA DATABASE That s the area wher you can manage your images, audio & video data. It is recommended to create for each separate project an own folder. USER MANAGER You needn t use this area. MYBOX You needn t use this area as well. ICONS NEW MAP NEW PROJECT FOLDER At First you have to create a new project folder. Be sure that the root folder (here test under the mouse courser) is activated. You can see if it is activated, when it is written bold. Seite 3 von 21

4 When you ve clicked the new folder icon, type in your project-name. NEW STONE Your folder was created successfully. Now you have to create your stones in this folder. So you have to click on your folder (e.g. Valencia). Then the folder name is written bold and you ll see following screen: Seite 4 von 21

5 When the name of your folder is written bold, you can create a new stone. You just have to click on the new stone Icon, which you can see in the red marked area. After clicking on it, following screen appears: You just have to put in the title of the stone. The Title is shown as the stone title. Please click on save if you want to do this. 6 EDITING A STONE For editing a stone you have to select the stone in site structure on the left side. Then you see the stones content. You just have to click on the orange icons for editing text ( ), on the green ones for editing images () and please klick on Components for adding video and audio data ( ). TEXT When you click on the Texteditor, following java editor opens: Seite 6 von 21

7 You just have to put in your text. You can write you text bold (= Fett), Make a list (= Liste). When you ve clicked on save your text is in there. IMAGES Please click on the green image edit icon. Then the Media Database opens (detailed information about the media database is following) and select your image. You just have to click on the green icon, which is marked in the red area Seite 7 von 21

8 VIDEO / AUDIO / DOCUMENTS For adding documents, video or audio data, please click on Komponenten ( ) and select your wish: Bild = Image Mp3 Audio-File = mp3 audio file Video = video Datei als Download = Document Externer Link = link to a website It doesn t matter which type of component you choose, it s always the same process to put it in. I ll show you with a mp3 audio file: Please click on mp3 audio file, then the component is added to the list. Now it s the same as before. For changing the text, click on the text edit icon. For putting your mp3 in there, please choose the green icon. Then you can select your mp3 as we have done this before with images. Seite 8 von 21

9 QUESTIONS For adding questions to your stone, please click on the question mark in the middle of the stone. Then following window pops up: You just have to put in your questions and click on save (= speichern). When you want to add a answer to the question, please search for it and click on the red arrow, which is marked in the read area. When you ve done this, the answer stone is assigned to the active question. MEDIA DATABASE NEW FOLDER In the media database you can store your images, audio & video data. It is recommended to create a separate folder for your project. Seite 9 von 21

10 Just click on the new folder icon and following screen will pop up: NEW IMAGE You just have to fill in your project title and click on Yes. To upload new media objects in your folder, you have to click on it so your folder name is written bold. If you don t see any subfolder, you have to click on the + left nearby the root folder (in the red colored box), then you ll see all subfolders. Please choose new element and image for uploading images (is marked in the larger red box). Seite 10 von 21

11 When you ve clicked on new image following screen pops up, where you can search in your local storage system for images. You just have to select your image an click on open. After this, following screen appears: Seite 11 von 21

12 You just have to click forward (green arrow, which goes to the right side). Then you can select the areas for the different image sizes. Seite 12 von 21

13 LINK IMAGE Please click on the forward (=Weiter) Icon, then you can choose the image area for the Main Image in your Stone (= Hauptvorschaubild für Stein). Seite 13 von 21

14 BIG STONE IMAGE To select the image area, you just have to move your mouse courser into the image, and then it changes from the arrow to this: +. Please hold your left mouse button clicked and select your area. When you re satisfied with your area, please click on Forward (= Weiter). Seite 14 von 21

15 SMALL STONE IMAGE If you are satisfied with the image, you can click on forward, if not you can select your image area how ever you want to do. The same process suits for the thumbnail preview. Seite 15 von 21

16 THUMBNAIL PREVIEW As you can see I ve choosen only the eye and the ear of the dog. Please click on Forward (=Weiter). IMAGE INFORMATION Please type in the image title and click on save. Then you will see all images, which are saved in the current folder. Seite 16 von 21

17 IMAGE HANDLING When you are in the media database, you can select three different views: LIST VIEW Here you see your images with a small icon and the name. You can click on the different icons, which are described in the red area. The description is clear. THUMBNAIL VIEW Here you see Previews of your Images. Seite 17 von 21

18 DETAIL VIEW In the detail view you can see all your image sizes and the selected image area. The image sizes couldn t be changed, only the image area. Seite 18 von 21

20 NEW VIDEO You just have to type in a name, click on Choose (= Durchsuchen) and then wait a little bit. Then you just have to click on Save (= Speichern). NEW AUDIO FILE You just have to type in a name, click on Choose (= Durchsuchen) and then wait a little bit. Then you just have to click on Save (= Speichern).
