4 Step 1: Select the Create New Course button After you ve logged in, select the green button indicated by the arrow in the image to start creating a new course.

5 Step 2: Enter the basic course information Course Name - Name of Course Course Description - Description of Course Language - Drop down of supported languages Course Template Online Training-Creates an online course with multiple course page templates (including an assessment template) Assessment Only-Creates just a quiz/exam Course Style A drop down of previously developed course UI styles

6 Step 3: Save your course & get started! Select the Submit button to save your basic course information. Once you ve saved your course you ll see it appear in the list of courses available to develop/edit, review, copy, or publish. To start developing your course select Edit Pages.

7 Developing a Course Let the fun begin.

8 Overview of Basic Course Components Before you start creating a course, let s go over the basic buttons within the Course Edit Mode and the navigational components. When you re in Course Edit Mode you ll see gear icons. When you see a gear icon, it is an indication that a section of the Course Page is editable. Clicking on the icon and selecting Edit Image or Edit HTML block, for example, will allow you to add your own Course Page content. Clicking the arrows in the bottom right corner of the Course will allow you to move forward or backwards to each course page. You can see which Course Page you are by looking in the bottom left corner that says Slides of To Edit, Remove, or Add a Course Page you will use the small icon bar in the upper left corner of the Course. To upload a file or test your Course you will use the Upload File and Test Course links next to the small icon bar in the upper left corner of the Course. Note: Before you add Course Content to your Course Page you will always see the default text and image shown in the screen to the left.

9 Overview of the Table of Contents Before you start creating a course, let s also go over the Table of Contents. To expand the Table of Contents, select the arrow icon on the left side of the Course window. Once the Table of Contents has been expanded, you can see a hierarchy of Course Pages organized into Main Pages and Sub Pages in a logical way according to the learning objectives of a course. To rearrange the order of the Main Pages and the Sub Pages you can drag and drop the title of the Course Pages, or use the arrow keys in the small navigation bar in the top right of the Table of Contents. Example: The Main Page Section 1: How to Build Rapport with Leads is placed after the Welcome Course Page and the Course Objectives Course Page. The Sub Pages How to Connect with People and 3 Key Follow-up Techniques is placed under Section 1: How to Build Rapport with Leads to indicate that those Sub Pages are part of Section 1. Organizing the Table of Contents will help your learners understand how they should move through a course.

10 Let s get started: How to Add a New Course Page To add a new Course Page, click the + icon in the upper left hand corner of the Course. Next, enter a Page Name. This will be the Title that a learner sees within the Table of Contents. Example: 3 Key Follow-up Techniques Then, choose what level you would like the Course Page to appear on. If you select "This Level, you will add a new Course Page that is on the same level as the last page you created. For example, if the last page you created was a Main Page, then selecting This Level will allow you to add another Main Page. If you select Subtopic, you will add a new Course Page that is underneath the last page you created, allowing you to add a Sub Page to a Main Page. For example, if the last page you created was a Main Page, then selecting Subtopic will allow you to add a Sub Page. Lastly, select one of the following Course Page Types, which allow you to create different types of Course Pages. The options are as follows: Assessment Auto Flow HTML HTML with Checklist HTML with Image HTML with Popups HTML with Tabs Video

11 How to Edit a New Course Page Once you ve added a new Course Page you can edit the page content based on the type of page that you choose. Each page is constructed with individual content blocks, such as text, images, audio. or videos, that can be edited. To edit a content block, select the gear icon near the content block you d like to edit. Then, select the Edit HTTML block, Edit Image block, and etc. to get started. For example, for the Video Course Page that we added (see previous slide) we can click on the gear icon next to the video and select Edit Video to add a video from our content library. See example in the screen to the right. Once we ve added all the content to this Video Course Page we can go ahead and add a new Course Page.

12 How to Edit a New Course Page: Text Now let s try to add a new Course Page with multiple content blocks. To edit a text content block, select the gear icon next to the text section and then select Edit HTML block. It should pull up a separate editor, as shown in the screen to the right. Then, type in the content for the page and select Save and Close when you are finished.

13 How to Edit a New Course Page: Images Now that we ve added some text to our new Course Page, let s add an image. To edit an image content block, select the gear icon next to the image section that shows the apple and then select Edit Image block. It should pull up a separate uploader, as shown in the screen to the right. From the uploader, you can select an image from your image library to upload into the course by selecting the Browse button. Note: You will have to upload the desired file using the Upload File in the upper left of the Course to select it from the File Library. Next, enter the size for the image and press Save & Close.

14 How to Edit a New Course Page: Final Product Now that we ve added some text and an image to our Course Page we are all finished creating this Course Page. See the screen to the right for an example of how this could look. Should we decide to edit this Course Page later, we can select the T icon in the upper left corner of the course. For more advanced course editing, such as Auto Flow, please review the articles located in the Help Center, or ask your administrator or your Knowledge Anywhere Account Representative for more extensive training.

15 How to Add a Course Assessment The Assessment Engine makes it easy to author powerful Knowledge Checks, or examinations to validate the knowledge learners have accumulated while taking the course. To add an Assessment, follow the steps in Slide 10 for How to Add a New Course Page and select Assessment as the template type from the dropdown menu. Then, select the gear icon in the upper left corner next to the default text Click Start to Begin. This should pull up a separate window where you can enter Assessment information, such as the Score needed to successfully complete the Course, and add questions. To add Questions, go to the Question Groups section and select Edit. Once you re in a new window you ll be able to add a series of questions. Once you ve finished creating your questions you can select Save & Close to finish editing your Assessment.

16 Downloading a Course Get your SCORM-compliant course!

17 How to Get your SCORM-compliant Course Once you ve finished editing your course and have saved your progress you ll be redirected to the Home Screen of Course Builder where your new Course will appear as the latest Course in the list. To download your Course to a SCORMcompliant file that you can upload to your LMS, select the Publish button. You ll see a pop-up window. Select the button Publish Course to proceed. Once the course has successfully published you should see a download available. Save the SCORM file to your computer so that you can upload it to your LMS.
