Section 4. DATA MANAGEMENT
Product Library (1) Product Library location can now be defined by the user Top of the screen Left of the screen
Product Library (2) When using the RMC database as the Product Library, there is a filtering option
Importing Product Data from Excel (1) In case of a data error, RSP now gives you the exact cell that is causing the problem
Importing Product Data from Excel (2) For each of the import file layouts, the user can now decide which fields to import or skip Settings are saved for future use
Importing Product data from RMC (1) Like with importing from Excel, the user can now exclude fields When updating the existing products, it s no longer needed to fill in a filter
Product Search & Replace (with RMC) If RSP has a connection to a RMC database it is now possible to do a Search & Replace of a product in the active planogram All Positions of the original product are replaced with those of the new product (same # facings, orientation, etc.) Search & Replace is done based on Product ID
Importing Product Performance data from RMC (1) Performance Data across multiple Stores
Importing Product Performance data from RMC (2) Performance Data across multiple and Periods
Importing Product Performance data from RMC (3) Performance Data Facts depending on availability Requires specific tables and queries to be set up in the RMC database And obviously filled with data
Section 5. MISCELLANEOUS
Copy Live Images Remove Unused now also removes all associated Live Images from memory When copying Live Images all images in memory (for allocated and unallocated products) are copied
Applying Trends Values in the field to trend on that started with a number, were incorrectly aligned right. This has been corrected. The field that is trended on is stored, and will serve as the default next time the dialog is opened
Section 6. ENHANCED FEATURES
Splash Screen Branding The new product and company logo are now featuring in the splash screen. Icon for RSP-files The software has gotten a new icon to reflect its new product logo.
Spaceman PLN-files Competitive Files (1) It is now possible to load a Spaceman PLN-file without a section (i.e. Products only). Loading a pln-file with missing info on Peg Row and Peg Column will now recalculate the correct locations for products on pegboards. JDA PSA-files It is now possible to load PSA-files that use UPC as the primary key, and thus can have blank or duplicate IDs. (UPC is copied into the ID field.) It is now possible to load PSA-files with non-textbox drawing objects.
All competitive files Competitive Files (2) Positions in competitive files that are merchandised as Trays were positioned as Units. This has been corrected.
Positions Merchandising (1) When using the Position Dialog to place new positions on a pegboard, or making changes to an existing layout, all positions were placed in the top left corner. This has been corrected. RMC database planogram locking When a planogram is opened from the database, and then saved as a new planogram, the original planogram was not unlocked. This has been corrected.
Shelves (1) Merchandising (2) When working with notches, shelves can be dragged to the left and to the right of the section. Double-clicking such a shelf to bring up the Shelf dialog would give an error message. This has been corrected. When copying a Shelf using <Ctrl> drag and drop, the fields Part Number, Supplier, Cost, Flexible Placement and Z were not retained. This has been corrected. When copying a Pegboard or Hanging Bar using <Ctrl> drag and drop, the fields Part Number, Supplier, Cost, Peg Part Number, Peg Supplier, Peg Cost, Flexible Placement and Z were not retained. This has been corrected.
Shelves (2) Merchandising (2) When dragging a shelf/hanging bar/pegboard that has been given a horizontal offset using the Flexible Placement and the X-coordinate to a new location, Retail Shelf Planner would align the fixel to the left of the segment. This has been changed. Now the horizontal offset is retained, even when dragging to another segment. Shelves can now also have a negative Z-value.
Page Setup features Output (1) If in the Page Setup footer texts were not active, the logo was drawn in the wrong location. This has been corrected. The logo in the Page Setup didn t scale properly in some occasions. This has been corrected. Drawing of the Title, Subtitle. Footer texts and Date/Time texts from the Page Setup has been improved. Now the same font is used as has been selected in the International Settings for the User Interface.
PowerPoint output (1) Output (2) The Position field LocationNumber in the LocationID report in PowerPoint output is now treated as a numeric value, which improves sorting. (E.g. 2 before 10.) The report Products by Shelf in PowerPoint output was sorting the positions by X and then Y, which could give strange results on pegboards with products with varying sizes. The positions are now first sorted by Peg Row, then Peg Column, then Position Y and X. The Blueprint keyword for creating PowerPoint output is no longer case sensitive when splitting the planogram in segments.
PowerPoint output (2) Output (3) After creating PowerPoint output, the option Show Merchandising Areas in the View menu was disabled. This has been corrected. Two new keywords have been added to the PowerPoint template output PLN_ID_VALUE, saving the database PLN_ID PLN_FILENAME_VALUE, saving the filename of the planogram
Product Library Usability (1) The performance of a refresh of the product library has been improved. Additional error handling has been added to the Drag & Drop function from product library to deal properly with unforeseen circumstances. The Product Library now supports <Ctrl><F> to show the search dialog, and <F5> to refresh. Product & InfoBox Lists The Product List and InfoBox List windows are now resizable again. (This was broken in the 2015 release.)
Shelf dialog Usability (2) The shortcut keys on Add/Update/Remove buttons in the Shelf dialog now work directly after opening the dialog. Clicking the Apply button in the Shelf dialog when there are no shelves yet in the segment would crash the s/w. This has been corrected. Delete Segements dialog Opening the Delete Segments dialog on a planogram with a large number of segments (30 or more) will lead to a crash. This has been corrected.
Change Multiple Products dialog Usability (3) Nesting Height and Nesting Width were not displayed in the correct order in the Change Multiple products dialog. This has been fixed. Product dialog When adding a new product through the Product dialog, selecting one of the Supplier, Category, and SubCategory fields could lead to an errormessage. This has been corrected.
Selected Objects Drawing (1) <F5> does a refresh/redraw of the screen, but didn t clear the selected objects, which are then incorrectly displayed as selected when clicking an object afterwards. This has been corrected. Dragging one or more products from the product library does a refresh/redraw of the screen, but didn t clear the selected objects, which are then incorrectly displayed as selected when clicking an object afterwards. This has been corrected.
Dragging Shelves with a Grill Drawing (2) Dragging a shelf that has Grill Height set to something larger than 0, would display a grill, even when Grill Type was set to none. This has been corrected. Highlight Legends The texts in highlighting legends sometimes varied in font and styles used. Now the same font is used as has been selected in the International Settings for the User Interface.
Live Image naming Drawing (3) The function to load all Live Images for a planogram is no longer case sensitive. So images for the orientation Front 90, can now also have the indication _f90.
Characteristic Analysis Analysis & Reporting The fields Data 1-5 have been added to the Characteristic Analysis highlight. Excel reporting With the latest releases / updates of Excel there was a problem executing the RetailShelfPlannerAutoRun macro correctly when other Excel files were already open. This has been corrected.
Korean International (1) Registration issues in Korean Windows have been corrected. Korean is now one of the supported languages for the user interface and installation procedure. Retail Shelf Planner now fully supports display and drawing of Korean texts in the User Interface and in planograms when used on a Korean Windows PC.
Portuguese International (2) Portuguese is now one of the supported languages for the user interface and installation procedure. Dutch The typo in the message after closing the How To panel has been corrected. All languages If there was an error loading the Live Images, the error message was not translated. This has been corrected.
Retail Merchandising Center integration (1) Saving a new planogram to the database When saving a file-based planogram to the Retail Merchandising Center database using Save as New To Database, the original filename is no longer retained to avoid potentially confusing situations. Changing UI language When changing the user interface language with a database planogram open, the window caption would incorrectly change to Untitled Planogram (in the selected language). This has been corrected.
Retail Merchandising Center integration (2) Importing Product data Importing product data from the Retail Merchandising Center database would lead in certain circumstances to a crash. This has been corrected. Importing product data from database will now automatically use the RSP_ProductLibararyAllFields view. Importing product data from database now has additional error trapping.
