NOTE: The firmware is available by download only from the SoftwarePLUS website above. For upgrade instructions, refer to the FIRMWARE UPDATE on page 2. NEW FEATURES FORMAT (8 ) is added to the Multi Format setting. The following items are supported: DIAG display for new boards (HDC4300) Model code (extended file code) for the new model (HDC4300) BPU MENU CONTROL (operated with CAM Menu Control) Adjustment function for Skin Detail Y Limit Zoom/Focus control is enabled when using the 3D-RCP option or VC-RCP option. 2 FIRMWARE UPDATE Preparation 1. Copy firmware files to the following folder of a memory stick: \MSSONY\PRO\CAMERA\RCP15XX 2. Insert the memory stick in the memory stick slot of the unit. Main Update 1. Display the RCP Config menu in service mode. (See Figure 1.) Figure 1 2. Press Firmware Update to display the Firmware Update menu. (See Figure 2.) Figure 2 3. Press Main Update to display the confirmation screen. (See Figure 3.) Page 2 of 6

3 Figure 3 4. Press Start to update the main program. NOTE: The Loader Section and Main Section of the main block are updated. The Loader Section is updated first. The screen is cleared when the progress bar reaches 100%, and then the Main Section is updated. (See Figure 4.) Figure 4 Page 3 of 6

4 5. When the update is completed successfully, the Completed message appears. Press OK to restart the unit. (See Figure 5.) Figure 5 Subsystem Update From the RCP Config menu, press Information > Version, and confirm the firmware version of SUBSYS. Upgrade to V2.01 if necessary as follows: 1. Display the RCP Config menu in service mode. (See Figure 6.) Figure 6 Page 4 of 6

5 2. Press Firmware Update to display the Firmware Update menu. (See Figure 7.) Figure 7 3. Press Subsys Update to display the confirmation screen. (See Figure 8.) Figure 8 Page 5 of 6

6 4. Press Start to update subsystem firmware. NOTE: The illuminated switches, LEDs, and LCD are turned off during the Subsys Update, and the Memory Stick indicator displays the progress. The indicator blinks green and red during the update, and goes out upon completion of the update. After the internal data has been updated, the unit restarts automatically. DO NOT turn off power until the unit has restarted.
