The model WB-WRX adapter allows you to connect vintage wallboxes to your Rowe/AMI vinyl or 45/CD combo jukebox. Works with any jukebox that uses the " xx" or " xx" Central Control Computer. This includes models CTI-2, R-84 through R-94, RI -4, RI-5, Prelude, Tempo, Tempo-Disco, Jewel, Starburst, Starlight, Starwood, Blue Magic, Gold Magic, Romantica, Golden 7/8/89/90/91/92, Sapphire 7/8/89/90/91/92, LaCombo, Bubbler, ComboStar, RoweStar, Antique Apparatus and others.. Regardless of the wallbox selection method, title strips are maintained to match the same sequence as the jukebox. The "Wallbox Translation Chart" shows the conversion to record selections. If your jukebox is a 45/CD combo version, you can choose to have the first 100 wallbox selections select from the CD player instead of records, the next 100 selections will play record "A" sides starting with record number 100. The wallbox adapter kit comes with two jukebox connector cables. The 6-pin Molex cable is for WRE type jukeboxes (R-88 & earlier) which plugs into P-103 on the Central Control Computer. The 4-pin Molex cable is for WRF type jukeboxes (R-89 & later) which plugs into P4. Switch 7 must be set to the type of jukebox your connecting to. Switch 6 should be set to "Master Controller". 5 Wallbox Wiring Diagrams CAUTION: Do not attempt to hook up a wallbox power supply if you are not familiar with electrical wiring, consult with a qualified person or an electrician. Do not leave any wires exposed, always use wire-nuts or electrical tape on all connections. Improper wiring can result in a fire or shock hazard. 9 Wurlitzer select The Original 1015 Bubbler Wallbox 120VAC This wallbox has its own built-in transformer and requires a 120VAC power cord. High voltage is used so be very careful when wiring up this wallbox. The wallbox adapter only requires the two wire connection to terminal #1 and terminal #3. AMI WQ-200 * A wire jumper must be inserted from the main power terminal to the * lock-out. TECH NOTE Electrical pulses transmitted by the wallbox are generated by a contact arm rotating on a selector disc containing contact points. When these contacts become gummed up and corroded, the wallbox may not make the proper selection. Occasionally, these contacts require cleaning. They can be cleaned with a cloth saturated with isopropyl alcohol. Do not use emery cloth or sandpaper as this may remove the plating. On really worn wallboxes, where basic cleaning doesn t seem to cure the problem, you may have successful results by using a low abrasive polish, such as Scratch Out or Brasso. This will make the contact surfaces shiny and smooth.
