1 The purpose of setting up a Manual Universal Voice profile is to allow audio from your MeetingOne Audio Conference Room to be broadcast over the computer speakers of Connect Meeting attendees while eliminating the dialout pop-up box that appears when using full MeetingOne Audio Integration. 1. Login to your Adobe Connect account from the main login page. 2. Once you re logged in, click on the My Profile link in the top right corner of the screen. 3. From the My Profile page, click on My Audio Providers. 1
2 4. Select New Provider 5. Complete the required fields and save the Audio Provider. a. The Provider Name is a required field, but you decide what to enter. The name that is created will appear in the dropdown as an available Audio Provider when creating a new Audio Profile. b. For Status, select Enabled. c. The URL field is not required for MeetingOne. d. For the Dial-In Number field, this is the number participants would dial if they are unable to listen to the audio over their computer speakers. The number entered can be either a toll or toll free number, but it needs to be a valid access number to access the conference room. e. For Dial-In Steps, mirror the steps in the below screenshot, substituting the sample values with the actual toll free access number you ve been provided and your individual room number. We recommend that you do not include the host pin as Universal Voice will take over host control of your audio conference and you will not be able to enter any host-specific key pad commands. However, if you do you do wish Universal Voice to take over host control of your audio conference include the specific Host PIN associated with your audio conference room. To add each Action, click the Add Step button. f. Please note that Universal Voice cannot be set up using a local access number. Adobe requires a toll free number for Universal Voice. 2
3 6. When done with the set up, select the Test Dial-In Steps button to test your set up. The test will confirm that the Adobe Universal Voice set up was able to connect to the access number provided. If the test fails, it was unable to connect to the access number. Please note that a successful test does not mean it was able to successfully open the room, just that it was able to connect to the access number. To fully test the set up and make sure you are able to broadcast using Universal Voice, you ll need to test broadcasting voice into a Connect meeting room and listen for the audio being broadcast over your speakers. 7. In order to use the Audio Provider just created, an Audio Profile using the provider just created needs to be created. From the My Profile page, click on My Audio Profiles. 3
4 8. Select New Profile 9. From the Provider dropdown, select the Audio Provider name you created in Step 5a, enter a Profile Name and save the profile. a. The Profile Name field is required, but you decide what to name the profile. The name that is created will appear in the dropdown as an available audio conference when creating Connect Meetings. 10. After you ve saved the Audio Profile, you should see it in your listing of available Audio Profiles. 4
5 11. The Audio Profile that was just created can now be used to broadcast using Universal Voice into a Connect meeting room. To set up a Universal Voice meeting, follow all of the meeting creation steps you have done in the past. The only change is on the Audio Conference Settings section - select the radial for Include this audio conference with this meeting and choose the Audio Profile you created for Universal Voice. 12. When getting ready to broadcast Universal Voice into a Connect meeting room, best practice is to start the audio conference first by dialing into the audio room BEFORE starting the audio conference and broadcasting Universal Voice. Doing so will allow you to retain host control of the audio room. 13. Once a Meeting Host has created a Meeting and included a Universal Voice Audio Profile in the Meeting, those steps give the Meeting Host the option to used Universal Voice in a Meeting. The last step is that the Connect Meeting host has to actually start audio during the meeting. Adobe dials it s Universal Voice (UV) line into our audio conference room once the meeting audio has been started. This creates the connection between the Connect Meeting and audio conference number in the Audio Profile, allowing for audio broadcast and full twoway communication between VoIP users and audio conference users. a. To start UV in your Adobe Connect meeting room, select Audio > Start Meeting Audio from menu bar at the top of the Connect meeting room. a. b. A pop up box will appear with the option to use computers and/or use phones. Select the Using Phone checkbox if you re planning on using MeetingOne audio and Adobe Universal Voice (UV) with your Connect session. 5
6 c. Note: The Using Phone option is for using MeetingOne audio and Adobe s Universal Voice (UV) feature. The Start broadcasting telephony audio checkbox is used by UV to broadcast what is being said in the MeetingOne audio conference room to participants listening via computer speakers. d. UV will continue to broadcast over the participant s speakers. If the participant chooses to dial in instead, they will need to turn off / down their speakers. 6
