25 Active systems best possible dynamics Similar to scanning systems, this example of a car suspension system shows the difference between an active and passive system. The active system assumes control, thus ensuring better control and reaction, as well as high speed. PASSIVE ACTIVE 25

26 VAST XT gold active scanning sensor The electronic suspension delivers a constant measuring force to the surface. The resulting stylus curvature is minimal, constant and easy to compensate. 28 VAST XT gold active scanning sensor Every feature can be reached regardless of the size, accessibility and complexity, or if it is aligned at difficult angles. Long styli up to 500 mm and 500 g. With the VAST XT gold, every hard-to-reach feature can be measured from any position. VAST XT gold enables the measurement of the tiniest features with a stylus diameter of 0.5 mm. 28

35 RDS The perfect solution for all possible directions RDS PH10 150º Unreachable zone RDS can rotate +/-180 in two directions. With a click-stop setting of 2.5, RDS can reach 20,736 individual positions. Other solutions only offer rotation of 180 /105 and clickstop settings of 7.5 for a total of 720 positions. 35
