10 Positioning the SwyxIt! CTI Dialer - 2 SwyxIt! CTI dialer for the S315 can also be used from within a Windows / Citrix Terminal session. Therefore the S315 offers an alternative to the SwyxPhone L400 in these environments. SwyxPhone S315 together with SwyxIt! in dialer mode is very well suited for low end up to average office requirements. In terms of a dedicated switchboard in a larger enterprise Swyx recommends the usage of a SwyxPhone L series together with CTI instead, or a SwyxIt! with local sound device (USB handset or headset). 13 SwyxIt! Dialer Mode for the SwyxPhone S315 in Detail 1 Required license: ne Pre-requisites: SwyxIt! and S315 are looged on to the SwyxServer with same user account. Direct IP communication between SwyxIt! and S315 is possible. The dial command will be directly exchanged via SIP-Refer between SwyxIt and S315. There is no communication between the clients and the SwyxServer (like it is normally used within classic CTI-Pairing ). Attention: be careful when using different sub-networks, locations and VLANs. SwyxIt! Dialer Mode for the SwyxPhone S315 in Detail 4 Available functions in Dialer Mode: Call / Telephone Management The following functions are not done from the SwyxIt! but are done directly on the S315 phone: Pick up Call hold Swap Conference Microphone and Loudspeaker volume level. Connect If you have already a call and you want to give it to another user, you have to use the S315. It is not possible to connect a call with the dialer. But you can connect an incoming call to another user with SwyxIt!, if you have not picked up the call. You can do this by using the menu of the line button or with Drag & Drop. 17 Differences between S315 Dialer Mode / for SwyxPhone Lxxx The Dialer Mode for SwyxPhone S315 does not need a option license, the CTI Mode for SwyxPhone Lxxx does need one of these. In the dial mode you will have no more control over a call with the SwyxIt! Client. For example disconnect, hold, swap, connect, conference. This is only possible with the S315. With CTI and the SwyxPhones Lxxx it is possible to have full control of the call and remote control of the SwyxPhone. Swyx The Communication Engine Slide 17

The IP address of the TFTP or HTTP server is determined via DHCP. Activate the checkbox "Allow logon via SIP" if the user is generally allowed to log on to SwyxServer using a SIP device. In Hosted SwyxWare this is activated, as authentication with the Windows user account is typically not available. A:, it works with a normal user license. Q: Is there an Import/Export function for the local telephone book? A:, the telephone book can be imported/exported as comma separated data (.csv format) Q: Which languages does the S315 work in?
