1 OSMO- How to play: Osmo WORDS OSMO Words- The OSMO Words game allows students to play alone or in groups to decode puzzle images. Words also allows you to download extra content and create your own. For online access to OSMO Words Content: For the Osmo Words App: Remember- you can switch profiles by clicking on the player name in the upper right of the screen. Step 1: Online options for Osmo Words On your myosmo.com screen select My Words Step 2: The mywords window will show your created word albums and those that have been shared with you. 1

2 Step 3 : To create your own Words Album click on Create New Step 4: All you will need to begin to create your new album are pictures to upload. Step 5 : After you have uploaded your pictures you will be asked to associate words with each pictures. Step 6 : The album that you created and named will now show up in myalbums 2

3 Step 7 : To share your album with your ipad or with others, open on the album. After you have opened your album click on the Gear icon and Share 3

4 Step 8: Select ON to share the album with others and then copy the link to your clipboard. The link can be ed to yourself to open on the ipad. The link can also be ed to others. Step 9: Open the on your ipad and Select Open in Words. 4

5 Step 10 : Select Library from the Words options. This is where you will locate content you have downloaded. Step 11 : To have your students play an album you have downloaded, select it in the library. The selected album will have a check mark on it. 5

6 Step 12 : After you have selected your album click the right arrow and you will return to the and you can select one of the play options. All options can be played as a solo or collaborative activity. Step 13 : The selected album will open in Words when you click Play. 6

7 Step 13 : In the Library on the ipad app you can also Browse other Collections and download them to your ipad by selecting Download More At myosmo Step 14 : In the Library on the ipad app you can also Browse other collections online by selecting the Browse tab. You can narrow your search with the drop down menu. 7

8 Step 15 : Select an Album by clicking on it. From the open album you can Add to ipad. Downloaded albums can be selected using the same procedure as your created albums as they will show up in Library. 8

9 Step 15 : All you need to play Words is: Osmo base unit and reflector Word tiles Osmo app for ipad If your students have created profiles you can follow their progress at myosmo.com Step 15 : Select an Album by clicking on it. From the open album you can Add to ipad. This screen is looking for the spanish word for Red. Do you know it? 9

10 Step 16 : Junior Learning Words- Beginning reading, Beginning letters You can select to have the words read aloud after the activity by clicking on the parallel lines in the upper left of the screen and selecting Speech. You also have an option to select that hints be given to your students. Step 16 : Your students can also compete against each other. The score will show on the screen as they play. 10
