1 Basic Reports Presents performance achieved in the past by the users hotel and the competitors. All reports present and compare users results and the results of the competitors selected by the user. The results of the competitors are displayed as the average of the selected competitors to protect internal data of each user. The Basic Reports give the opportunity to justify whether the achieved results in the past (Sold rooms, Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, Room revenue, MPI, ARI, RGI) were satisfactory compared to the competition. Please see glossary in the top right corner on the main page of the web site for definitions and terminology of indicators For the usage of these reports it is essential to insert data (Sold rooms and ADR) on a daily basis in the Basic Reports under the heading Data Input. Data can be inserted into the system either manually or automatically from the user s reservation system. It is recommended to use the secure system of automatic gathering of data. For secure automatic transfer of data please contact. There are 6 sub-menus for Basic Reports: Data Input; Basic Report by Day; Basic Report by Month; Basic Report by Day Y-O-Y; Basic Report by Month Y-O-Y; Basic Report by Period Y-O-Y.
2 Basic Report Data input Here the user enters on a daily basis the Sold rooms and ADR for the previous day. The data for every day need to be entered into the system on a daily basis. It needs to be entered every day before 10:00 a.m. for the previous day. For example: On the at the latest by o clock the user will need to enter the data for If it is not entered by a.m. the user with the read & write privileges will get an that data has not been entered. If not entered by a.m. then a second notification will be sent to the user with the group admin privileges. If a user forgets to enter historical data, it can be inputted retroactively by the HotelBenchmarking.eu center for a fee of $10 for 1day of missing data. To avoid this potential problem of paying for entering historical data and to provide a consistent stream of data from all hotels we suggest using the secure automated system of data entry. Entering the data automatically every day the user saves time, reduces mistakes and provides a more accurate data base for analysis by all the competitors within the system by using the information to further help in optimizing revenue and profit. Once data are submitted the system will show a verification of the data.
3 See the following sample:

The various definitions and terminology of the indicators can be found in the glossary section which is in the banner in the top right corner on the main page of the web site. The following table shows the various indicators highlighted in yellow. In the rows next to each indicator the user will see the data that the user and competitors have achieved in a selected period. They are divided into: the user s data (hotel SAMPLE), the competitors data as an average (CompGroup), the Market (CompGroup + user data) and the rank which the user has received.
