For example, if a pool is currently defined as 13000K, and you want to add 2000K so that the new pool size is 15000K. The SQL statement will fail and terminate. Prior to the fix, the system module IDMSHLDB will abend. After the fix is applied, a DB message will be issued indicating that storage could not be acquired. Increase storage pool size or add additional storage pools to prevent short on storage condition. However the S0C4 could occur under other environments given the proper set of circumstances that are beyond a user's control.
