4 Overview The Supported Platforms Document outlines the operating systems that the Communications Intelligence products are supported on; and is to be used to assist customers in planning the implementation and ongoing maintenance planning of the Communications Intelligence products. This document is a living document that will be updated by Pitney Bowes Business Insights (PBBI) product management upon each new software release and is available through the PBBI Technical Support website. Platform modifications are handled as feature enhancement requests; where customers may use the proper channels (such as PBBI Technical Support, PBBI Account Representative, or IdeaNet) to submit any desired changes to the Supported Platforms for a specific product. These feature enhancements will be reviewed and prioritized by PBBI Product Management based on its supported business case and will have one of the following resolutions: 1. Inclusion in an immediate future software release. The PBBI Product Manager will communicate to all stakeholders the planned modifications of the Supported Platforms Document. Any added Supported Platforms will be added as a new feature to the specified software release. The software may be supported in either the next patch or maintenance release of the PBBI software application. 2. Available on a time and cost basis. The PBBI Product Manager will communicate to all stakeholders that the planned modifications to the Supported Platforms Document will be made available at an added cost to the customer. The costs will be determined by the scope of the level of support requested by the customer. Requests to extend the support of an outdated or unsupported Operating Platform by the manufacturer (such as IBM z/os 1.8) will be reviewed by PBBI Product Management and may be subjected to additional maintenance fees. To properly perform the review, Product Management will require the customer to provide: 1. A formal request that identifies the Operating Platform for extended support 2. The requestors transition plan defining the length of time for the extended Operating Platform support with a timeframe to migrate to a manufacturer supported Operating Platform 3. The reason for extended support Products The PBBI Communications Intelligence product line consists of three product families: Address Coding, Postal, and Address Management. Address Coding The PBBI Address Coding products support the validation of addresses within National Post databases; which automate the process of formatting the address for handling and delivery by National Postal authorities, adding missing data which may include secondary address, ZIP+4 Code, and full address

5 delivery point. These products offer compliance to National Post address validation requirements as outlined in the United States Postal Service (USPS) Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) and Canadian requirements; while providing significant uplift to the overall address data quality of the organization. The Address Coding products are able to perform both batch and real-time processing of addresses. Postal The PBBI Postal products support the preparation of mail per several industry standard including the Domestic Mailing Manual (DMM); and have achieved both USPS presort accuracy validation and evaluation (PAVE) and Canadian SERP certifications. These US and Canadian presort products electronically sorts mailing lists to quickly determine the cost of the mail. Our Postal products output data, statements, and files required for the proper induction of mail and acceptance by either the US or Canadian Postal authorities. Address Management The Address Management products support the verification of address data; improving the overall deliverability of direct mail communications. Users of the Address Management products are able to identify direct mail communications for each intended recipient, track and report overall delivery, collect undeliverable as addressed data, and execute the business process to review and update those changes in the customer s database of record.
