7 User Interface The look-and-feel has been updated including new icons and more tooltips. Toolboxes (e.g. the Factors Tool) can be docked and resized. The Design Layout displays a Design Properties tool that allows interactive editing of row and column attributes. Unicode and UTF-8 character sets are now supported. The Run Sheet view of the design has been eliminated to reduce clutter. Better scaling on high dps displays. Stat-Ease European User Conference
8 Navigation The Navigation in Design-Expert has been improved by: - Removing the factor type tabs - Adding a view bar with layout options - Dockable (moveable) tool palettes - Maintaining the top-bottom, left-right flow Stat-Ease European User Conference
9 Design Properties Tool The Design Properties tool is a new alternative to the options that are also still available via right-clicking on a row or column header. Row and Column status can be changed, as well as Factor information. The tool is dockable and stays out of the way! Stat-Ease European User Conference

11 Graphs The Diagnostics graphs have been split into separate tabs that can be resized and rearranged. You can now remove all contours from a surface graph. Graph lines are now anti-aliased (smoothed) and thicker by default. 3d graphs no longer switch to a wireframe when rotating. Mixture plots are now equilateral triangles. 12 Diagnostics Multi-Pane View The Diagnostics are now visible in a sleek multi-pane view! Customize by dragging tabs. Stat-Ease European User Conference

16 Reports Reports have been split into separate tabs that can be resized and rearranged. There is a new toolbar for switching between predetermined layouts for the tabs. Many tables in reports are now sortable. Ctrl scrollwheel zooms in/out of reports, increasing/decreasing the font size. Stat-Ease European User Conference
17 ANOVA The ANOVA takes advantage of the new interface with split panes that can be customized to your liking. Note the pre-determined layout options at the top of the screen! Stat-Ease European User Conference

20 Build Split-plot designs can be built with I or A-optimal criteria. Split-plot factorials design sizes are now specified by number of groups and group size. Optimal bootstrap parameters have been tweaked to improve performance. Stat-Ease European User Conference

24 Analysis The maximum model order in the Fit Summary can now be limited to speed up calculations for large designs. The ANOVA for factorials with center points has been streamlined to make the analysis more intuitive and flexible. Factorials with center points now have a curvature test with an interactive Remove/Add Curvature button. Stat-Ease European User Conference

26 Curvature Analysis The ANOVA for factorials with center points has been streamlined to make the analysis more intuitive and flexible. 31 Simulation The response simulator has been expanded with new functions and constants (see help for usage, search for simulation ).
