2 Release 5 Overview Enhancements General New search capability for submitted applications New Report for industry that includes assets information per applications Notification will now be sent to applicant and consultant contact entered into the application When deleting an application, the associated Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESA s will also be deleted. A message will be displayed warning of the application and submissions being deleted. Application Associated Activity: Removed the Include on reclamation certificate checkbox for associated activities Site Information: A Public Land s Disposition will be required or an exception identified, if applicable Detailed Site Assessment (DSA): The DSA document upload in no longer mandatory Declaration: A application comment field was added Declaration: An upload document was added for a cover letter or any other additional information the applicant may wish to include. Submissions New Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment component Assets in both the Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESA can have any status. Bug Fix Descriptions Reclamation Certificate Fixed problem with LLD showing up incorrectly. Printed Application Form a number of improvements to the printed application form, including spelling corrections, the legal land descriptions for associated activities now displays and soil additions now state Topsoil Additions. A public notice of application will available for application with no asset. The missing peatland criteria date April 30, 1994 to May 1, 2001 in now included. Fields with character limits will no longer accept data input past the limit. Document Uploads: documents with special characters can be uploaded in the Phase 1 ESA, however, not in the application form or Phase 2 ESA. The AER will fix this bug shortly. The Drilling Mud volume can be left bland if unknown

3 Search Function You can now search for submitted applications. Note: the Operator field in mandatory. If you submit application for multiple applicants ensure the operator in the drop down is the same as the operator on your workspace. New Report A new report is included on the industry workspace. This report list all applications with assets.

4 Delete Application When deleting a draft application the attached submission will also be deleted. The Confirm Delete message box will include a warning before completing the deletion. Application Form: Associated Activity Associated activities should only include lands that were reclaimed and part of the application. Since all lands listed will be included on the certificate, the checkbox for "include in reclamation certificate has been removed.

5 Site Information: Public Land Applicant must include the all Public Land dispositions. When an applicant selects 'Public Land' in Site Info, a system warning is displayed stating "a disposition must be included unless it has an exception". An exception drop down box is displayed. The application CANNOT be submitted unless a disposition is included in the Asset or an exception identified. Reclamation Information Detailed Site Assessment The detailed site assessment attachment is no longer mandatory. Upload the Peatland detailed site assessment in the record of observation field.

6 Declaration: Additional Comments and Upload Document Applicants requested an application comment field and ability to upload a cover page or additional information. Reclamation certificate applications are becoming more complex as time goes on and the comment field will help communication between applicant and the reviewer.

7 New Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment Build Phase 1 ESA enhancements have been completed. The ESA Phase 1 can be printed as a pdf from the button displayed in the top right corner of every screen. The validate button should be used once the submission has been filled in to ensure it is complete and accurate. In addition, multiple comment boxes have been added for users to support their answers. These comment boxes are expandable for long explanations. Asset Information Assets Section is same as before but user can now add an asset with any status. CEP, OSE, and ROE have been added to the activity type dropdown. Asset Information Associated Activity User can now add associated activities in the ESA submission Interviews User indicates the interviews that took place for ESA Phase 1; can now indicate if the land manager is AEP or AER.

8 Drilling Information Drilling Info Drilling information section will be prepopulated by our data bases and dependent on the asset(s) that is chosen. This section will appear blank if submission is not for an applicable asset. User will still be required to indicate if the site is re-entered or re-drilled; the answers will be defaulted to no. Drilling Information Waste Disposal Screen remains unchanged.

9 Site Information Production and Storage User checks off the applicable infrastructure and pertaining sections will display when checked off for furtherer information. The three sub photos illustrate the associated sections that will display when the corresponding boxes are marked. a) Flare Pits

10 b) Storage Tanks: second table is displayed for additional information when bolded question is answered Yes c) Other Facilities or Infrastructure: if one or more of the following are checked off, this section will display for further information.

11 Site Information Environmental Information If a spill, release, or a complaint has occurred, the user can input this information within this table accordingly as free text. If there are any previous ESA s associated with the site, they MUST be entered into OneStop in order to be added or related to the site. When the user clicks add row, they will be directed to a pop up to search for previous ESA s to link to the previous submissions. User must search by asset ID as this identifier is what allows the ESA s to be related to each other.

12 Site Visit Under additional information, if user checks off any of the options, an additional comments box will display. Aerial Imagery User uploads aerial imagery applicable to their site; each row holds information for each individual photograph.

13 Conclusion/Recommendation The professional assurance table is meant to capture the professional who completed the appropriate assessment; if a professional declaration is required for the applicable assessment, the user now uploads the document in the table with the applicable assessment information. If the user indicates yes to Are you ready to submit ESA Phase 2?, Save and Start ESA Phase 2 button displays at the bottom of the screen. If the user clicks this button, their submission will be saved and the user will be directed to a New ESA Phase 2/3 Submission with the asset screen populated with the same assets selected in the ESA Phase 1 Submission. Additional Notes/Comments/Information Section has been added as a catch all for users to add any additional information in regards to their ESA. The user can also add a supporting document in any format.
