2 Background The Network Model Application allows you to: Create new EMS Model Change Projects. Review and revise project submission info. Create reports. Communicate project info to others. 2 2
3 n How To Access Network Model Notification Network Model Application is available to Transmission edart Users Log into edart and Select the Network Model Button from the edart Main Menu 3
4 Network Model Notification Main Menu Initiates the Change Request Process. Report of Facilities flagged as Future. Search for an existing Change Request. Download Current One-Lines from PJM-EMS. 4
5 Create New Change Request Select Existing Stations that the new Model Change applies to. Note that multiple stations may be selected by holding down the Ctrl Key and selecting stations. Add New Stations for this Change Request. Note that Station Names must be unique within a Change Request and Multiple Stations can be added. No Update: Check this box to Indicate that nothing has changed since the last update. Click Submit Form after adding or removing Stations. 5 5
6 New Change Request Ticket Enter Title, Company Project ID and RTEP/Gen Queue in order to identify a project. Enter a Description of the requested model change. Users can enter up to 500 words. Listed Stations reflect those selected in previous screens. Select Type and Target Model Build the drop down menu Select In Progress if the project data submission is not yet complete. 6 6
7 New Change Request Ticket To add or remove Stations on the change request, select the Stations button and a new window will open. If a station is removed, all facilities associated with the request from this station will be removed. When finished, select Submit Form. 7 7
8 Add Equipment to New Ticket Equipment Type hyperlink allows user to change all equipment of that type. Equipment Name (B3 Name) hyperlink allows the user to change only specific piece of equipment. Status column denotes if facility is being added (New), Revised (changed), or wasn t updated (Original). 8
9 Notification Equipment Contents Fields In the Network Model Change Request page, section headers (equipment types) are hyperlinks to a new page where users can edit and add rows for each equipment type. Fields differ for each equipment type, however, the same basic functions are used to modify each type of equipment. Click the Submit Form button to save rows. Click Add New to add additional facilities. Rows at the top will then be blanked out. Note: Once a row is selected for editing, the Add New button will disappear until Submit Forms is clicked. Empty row at the top when initially entering the form also allows for adding new facility. Column headers hyperlink to a new page describing the column. 9 9
10 Notification Breakers/Disconnects Contents Voltage, B3 Name, Equipment ID, In-Service Date are all required fields. To add Equipment, click the radio button under Edit next to the row. The Submit Form and Delete buttons will appear. By selecting Edit, users can modify the data in the selected row. After making changes, click Add New/Refresh and Submit Form
11 Notification Generators Contents Select Edit next to a row in order to change it. Select D-Curve in order to enter D-Curve values. After entering data, select Submit Form
12 New Network Notification Model Contents Toolbar Saves the Change Request and Submits it to PJM personnel. Displays the Change Request Status History. Change Request Information. Cancels the Change Request. Upload Line Diagrams and Other Files (MAX 10 MB)
13 Change Request Notification Status Contents History Displays a list of status changes to a Change Request. Changes are logged with timestamps and user identification
14 Adding Files Notification to a Change Contents Request To omit this file, check the box, click Delete. General File Limitations: - 10 MB of Available Space. Select the path to a file for uploading. Upload File. List of file types that can be uploaded
15 Change Notification Request Contents The To and From are required fields. Body of the (required). Select information to include in the . Send . Note: PJM will internally log location and ID of sender
16 View/Revise Notification Change Contents Request Network Model Change Requests may be filtered by the following criteria: Title Station (from drop down) Company Project ID Request ID Change Request Status (can chose more than one) Actual Model Build (from drop down) Submittal Date Range In Service Date Range Telemetry Review (check box) Tie Lines only (check box) Contain Attachments (check box) In Progress (from drop down)
17 View/Revise Notification Change Contents Request Click on Req. ID to open the Change Request for viewing and revising. Apply Filter: By default, tickets are sorted by ID number. To sort by another field, place 1 over that field and apply filter. Go To Filter: Return to the previous menu to filter the results differently. Status Definitions: A pop up appears with explanation of the different change request status. opens Change Request form
18 View/Revise Notification Change Contents Request After selecting a ticket from the list, the Network Model Change Request will open for viewing and revising
19 Current Notification One Line Contents Diagrams Accept Legal Disclaimer to view line diagrams. Select either ALL stations or a specific station based on company permissions. To save the file click the checkbox next to Save as a File? Line Diagram download may also be accessed by clicking Download on the edart main menu and choosing Line Diagrams from the dropdown list of available downloads
20 SVG Notification Viewer Instructions Contents Pan and zoom applicable to the window group being viewed, not across world maps. Pan using the <ALT> button & left mouse button, then move the mouse. Rubber band zoom by using the <CTRL> button & left mouse button, select the area. Zoom by right clicking & selecting: Zoom In, Zoom Out, or Original View. "Find" on the right click menu searches for text in the page
21 Notification Future Contents Facilities This form shows all facilities PJM has listed as Future for the company. This same form can also be used to create Cut-In tickets. Note: If a future facility exists and is not displayed, please edarthelp@pjm.com
22 Notification Future Contents Facilities Zone The PJM Sub-Transmission Zone, filtered by drop down. PJM EMS Date This is the date a facility is to be introduced into PJM EMS Model. User can filter by build dates in the dropdown list. Select Apply Filter
23 Notification Future Contents Facilities Create Cut-In Ticket This checkbox will appear for future facility with no ticket. Check this box and add start and end dates to generate a ticket upon hitting Submit and populate it for that facility based upon input. Note: Start and End Dates are required fields. Cut-In Ticket ID This displays the current cut-in ticket number in a drop down menu. It also displays every submitted ticket tied to that facility. To change the cut-in ticket, use this column. Click View to open ticket
