3 CONTENTS 1. INTRODUCTION (USER STORY) Radiology Results and Lab Results are received by Providers and viewed via Messages Inbox. To view and/or review these results, Providers had to click on each of the zoom buttons on the messages received to review Lab or Radiology results. For the sake of convenience Users had a requirement of having a common screen each for Lab and Radiology results that would display results pending for review. 2. BROWSER SUPPORT The feature works on Internet Explorer (IE) browser 9 and above with the Compatibility mode turned OFF. Feature is also supported on non IE browsers such as Chrome and Safari; and hand held devices such as ipad. 3. NEW SCREENS AND SUPPORTED EVENTS Lab Review and Radiology Review are two screens newly introduced in PrognoCIS that display list of Lab results and Radiology results awaiting review. Also, two new sub-menus have been introduced, CPOE Lab Review and CPOE Radiology Review. These screens are available only to the ordering physician. There is a list of supported events based on which messages are sent to the Providers. Refer to the Appendix I for further details. These events are considered while sending s to the ordering physicians. 4. THE WORKING Two distinct bubbles are seen on the Ordering Providers Home screen giving the factual data of pending or unread Lab and Radiology results to be read or reviewed at a single glance. Refer to figure 4-1 to understand the position of these bubbles on the PrognoCIS screen. 3
4 These bubbles are distinctly colored as blue (for Lab Orders) and red (for Radiology Orders). A click on the blue bubble takes you to the newly introduced Lab Review screen whereas a click on the red bubble takes you to yet another newly introduced screen, Radiology Review. Refer to figures 4-2 and 4-3 Note: 1. Bubbles indicate the number of results, that are UNREVIEWED and for which notifications are sent. 2. UNREVIEWED results with notification READ/UNREAD are seen in the new Lab/Radiology screen. 3. If there are no UNREAD notification then 0 will be shown in the bubbles 4. In case notifications are in 3 digits then it is displayed as From CPOE Lab Review screen loads and from bubbles, the Center pane is not loaded; it has to be invoked explicitly by selecting a record from the Left pane. 6. Bubbles count reduces when a. User selects any record on the Left pane; b. the bubble count also reduces when User views the results from the Left pane as the result has become READ now; c. If any other User views or reviews the Lab/Radiology result (depending on the selection) then again the bubble count decreases. d. If a User reads from tab: Messages In zoom button 7. User from Nurse Login cannot view the bubbles. 5. THE LAB/RADIOLOGY REVIEW UI Navigation GoTo tab: CPOE Lab Review Refer to figure 4
5 OR GoTo tab: CPOE Radiology Review Left Pane: The left pane displays the list of pending Lab/Radiology results that are waiting to be reviewed. Alongside, the respective Order Number and Order date are also displayed. A click on the Patient s name or the Order Number link helps in loading the result details in the Center pane. Note: The center pane displays the Order details only when the Patient s name or order number is clicked. The left pane displays a records according to the resolution of Users computer monitor, generally 10 records are displayed with and additional records being viewed using the pagination buttons. The red circle seen before a lab order number indicate, that the result is yet to be reviewed and a circle with green background and white tick indicates that results are reviewed (compiled and status is Result Received i.e. Not Complete) Visited records are distinguished from the current record by different color code. Note: If a patient has multiple results then each result will be displayed as an individual record. Center Pane: 5
6 When a User selects any record form the Left Pane, the resulting details are displayed on the Middle Pane. Refer to figure Figure: Middle Pane in detail Note: The Middle pane is the exact replica of Lab/Radiology Result. Patient s personal information such as Name, Date of Birth (DOB), and Gender is displayed on the top most rows; new icons for Patient Contact Info, HM (Health Maintenance), Lab Matrix, Preview, and Print are also available. Order details such as Order No., Order Date, Lab Name, Ordering Doctor, Result Date, and name of the Primary doctor is available. There are two tabs that occupy most of the Lab/Radiology screen, they are tab Attachments and tab Results. On Attachments tab: Attachments tab displays the number of attachments attached to the Lab/Radiology results as Attachment 1; Attachment 2 etc depending on the number. Refer to the figure 6
7 The Zoom attachment icon: view. Refer to the figure help in zooming in the attachment to have a better When a User clicks on the Attach button a popup with the Browse button is displayed wherein User has the provision to select the appropriate attachments to be attached to the result, a click on attach button associates the selected attachment to the respective Lab or Radiology results. On Results tab: The results tab displays the respective results and is further subdivided into Test and Remarks tab. The Remarks tab is displayed in priority if remarks are present in the Remarks tab. The Test tab displays the 7
8 On the Remarks tab, the search phrases icon: that come handy to Users. on click displays available phrases The action buttons such as Save, Delete, and Reset perform the regular function of saving data, deleting selected data, and resetting the configuration back to the last saved ones. Right Pane: Right pane consists of two sections, Marked as Reviewed and Assign a Task, whose display is controlled by their respective toggle icon: Refer to the following figure Mark As Reviewed Click on the toggle icon next to the Mark as Reviewed option displays the section details. Refer to the following figure 8
9 When a User selects the Mark As Reviewed option then the respective Lab/Radiology Result is marked as reviewed and a green circle with white tick mark is displayed beside that Lab/Radiology Order in the list on the Left Pane. User also has a provision to view Previous Comments and add new comments from the Add Comments field in the Mark As Reviewed section. Assign a Task From Assign a Task section, User has a provision to assign any task about that Lab/Radiology Result to the specific Medics or Roles. Refer to the following figure Figure: 9
10 From Action dropdown list, User has provision to select the Action to be taken by the Medics or Roles. When a User selects the Self option, the Added Notes are also sent to the Logged in User and if the Sent Urgent Message option is selected then the Added Notes are sent as an urgent message to the selected Medic or Role. When a User selects the Send Message option then the message is sent to the selected Medics or Role. If Add to Patient Medical Records option is selected then the Added Notes is sent to the Patient Portal. Note: i. If the property, mail.add2pmr.checked4dr is set to Y then the option, Add to Patient Medical Records is checked by default for the role, Doctor. ii. If the property, mail.add2pmr.checked4rn is set to Y then the option, Add to Patient Medical Records is checked by default for the role, Clinical Staff. 10
11 iii. iv. If the property, mail.add2pmr.checked4ma is set to Y then the option, Add to Patient Medical Records is checked by default for the role, Medical Assistant. If the property, mail.add2pmr.checked4st is set to Y then the option, Add to Patient Medical Records is checked by default for the role, Administrative Staff. Whereas if the Inform Patient option is selected then the Added Notes are sent as an to the Patient. Note: Inform Patient option is displayed only if an ID of the Patient is present. 11
