1 PierPASS TMF.Org TLS 1.2 Protocol Browser Compatibility Due to coming PCI compliance requirements, effective March 31, 2018 the PierPASS TMF website will only accept TLS 1.2 security protocols. After that date, any attempts to access the TMF website using web browsers with older protocols (TLS 1.1 or earlier) will be blocked. For more information on PCI Standards and resources, visit: Please work to ensure that all PierPASS TMF website users at your company have their web browsers set to enable TLS 1.2. If you have Java enabled, you must be using version 1.7 or higher to use TLS 1.2. It is required the most current version, TLS 1.2, be implemented. Users can test their browser s compatibility at This document provides for the compatibility of the TMF.org site with various browser versions, the error messages that will be received if your browser does not meet the new protocol minimum standard, and any possible setting adjustments that may make your browser compatible. We recommend that the most recent versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox be used for accessing the website. Currently the TMF website currently only supports the use of Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. Chrome, Safari and other browsers may be able to access the website but users will not have full website functionality and may be limited on the information able to be displayed on the browser page. 2 Browser Version TLS 1.2 Protocol Compatibility The following matrix indicates browsers ability to access the site once lower encryption protocols are no longer allowed on 3/31/2018. If your browser is unable to display the site login page due to lower protocols the various messages should be displayed based on your browser type and version used. 6 How to enable TLS 1.2 protocol within Internet Explorer, if browser supports (using IE10 as example): 1. Select either Tools from the Menu Bar or the Settings wheel in the right hand corner, then select Internet Options from the dropdown menu.

7 2. On the Internet Options pop up, select the Advanced tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom, check Use TLS 1.2 and click OK. 3. Refresh the browser by either clicking on the Refresh icon on the browser or pressing F5 on the keyboard. Browser should display login page.
