6 3. Chat bots are about great conversations You can think of a chatbot as an intelligent program that interacts with human or users. It simulates conversations with human users. Imagine someone opening your app, saying hello to you, and an AI engine will answer him Hi there, Nice to hearing from you, I m here to assist you ask whatever you want. This can happen wherever the users are; from your website or app to Cortana, Skype, Teams, Office 365 mail, Slack, Facebook Messenger Skype for Business and more. Version 1.1 Page 5 of 11

7 Using Microsoft Azure Bot Framework, You can manage and support these channels in order to manage all the communication through Chat sources. Version 1.1 Page 6 of 11

8 4. Who is it for? Well, anyone! Using Bot services you can: - Automate Chat between you and your Customers - Send customers to the right channel and objective and assist them on their requests - Reduce efforts needed to reply back and have dedicated team to do so on your support - Utilize new technologies (AI and Cognitive services) for better ROI - Ability to expand in future to support new projects and initiatives easily - Understand user language and get analytics about their interests on you (you will know why people visit you! ) - Same bot can be used on Social media channels (Facebook, Skype.. etc.) or on web/mobile app - If the bot reach a point where it cannot answer, either it redirects the user to the specific department or continuo chat with real agent if available. 9 5. How does it work Well, the easiest way to explain this, is that you will have a machine, a powerful one, and you will let her learn, learn from you, your customers and from your current data. This can be through 2 ways: Version 1.1 Page 8 of 11

10 Chatbot that functions based on rules. - This bot is very very limited. It can only respond to very specific commands. If you say the wrong thing, it doesn t know what you mean. - This bot is only as smart as it is programmed to be. - Chatbot that functions using machine learning. (And yes we do love working on this!) - This bot has an artificial brain aka artificial intelligence. You don t have to be ridiculously specific when you are talking to it. It understands language, not just commands. - This bot continuously gets smarter as it learns from conversations it has with people. What else? - You can teach the bot your language, maybe a slogan you have or something your brand is known for. - Analytics: The usage of the chatbot can be monitored in order to spot potential flaws or problems. It can also provide useful insights that can improve the final user experience with the provider. Version 1.1 Page 9 of 11

IoT and Chatbots Bot Services are great, And can be great as well when integrated with IoT, By integration to sensors and actual devices, Bot can be the right help in offices, workplaces and for customers, Just imagine a small device in the office called (HR Bot), where you can ask a question by voice, and get the results directly by voice as well or to your preferred channel.
