3 1. Assessment Enhancements 1.1 Assessment Markbook efficiency changes The Assessment Markbook in Integris G2 in v has undergone some changes in order to make it operate as efficiently as possible. Alterations have been made to the way you manoeuvre around the Markbook screen with sets of columns or rows now loading as you scroll from left to right or up and down, rather than all of the data being loaded to screen in one go. This will make the opening of particularly large Markbooks with high numbers of columns and rows much more efficient and will reduce the impact such Markbooks have on the performance of the rest of the system. If you reach the end of the pre-loaded columns or rows in the Markbook you will now see a loading icon which indicates that the next set of data is being brought to screen. This will occur when you are scrolling from left to right and vice versa or up and down and vice versa. There is also a new quick filter function down the left-hand side of the Markbook screen. This enables you to quickly filter for groups of students within the Markbook whose surname begins with a specific letter. The Markbook defaults to the * view which indicates that no filter has been applied. Clicking on letter will then apply a filter and display only those students whose surname begins with the selected letter. 3
4 1.2 New Additional Rows Integris G2 now includes the ability to choose to display additional rows at the bottom of the Markbook which will calculate the SUM, COUNT and MEAN for all of the columns within the Markbook. This can be set to be displayed at the assessment plan level, whereby anybody who has been enrolled against the plan and has a Markbook will automatically see the rows when they open their Markbook, or, it can be managed from within the Markbook itself by the individual user. 4
5 1.2.1 Additional Rows Assessment Planning The option to specify which if any additional rows are displayed within a Markbook can be set within the Assessment Plan. A new option has been added to the Assessment tab when creating or editing a plan that enables you to set which rows will appear by default. Clicking on the Edit icon will enable you to pick which rows you want to display by ticking the relevant box in the pop-up screen. Once ticked, the row will display as default on any Markbook that is created from the Assessment Plan. As indicated, Null and blank values are excluded from the calculation in the row, but where there is a zero or non-null value, these will be included in any calculation made. 5
6 1.2.2 Additional Rows Assessment Markbook Within the Markbook screen, you have the ability to override the default that may have been set at the plan level, and show any of the rows available (if they are not displaying by default). You can do this by clicking on the View option in the top right of the Markbook screen, and selecting the Additional Markbook Rows option from the dropdown list. This will bring you to a pop-up screen where you can select whether you want to use the default settings for the plan (those settings which have been set at plan level and will be ticked) or whether you would like to see additional rows which might not have been set as default settings. Selecting the Additional Rows that you wish to display and clicking OK will then display those rows in the Markbook. Printing or Exporting Additional Rows. The Tools Export Assessment Data option within the Markbook will continue to export only the raw values from a Markbook and will not include any Additional Rows data in the export. You can print the Additional Rows using the Print option. They will be included on any printed report of the Markbook. You can also export them using the Print option by selecting Excel as the Report Format. This will then bring the data from the Markbook and the Additional Rows displayed into an Excel workbook. 6
7 1.3 Analysis Group Comparison for Single Item New MEAN column A new option to display a MEAN column has been added to the Group Comparison for Single Item analysis, when Table is selected, within the Assessment Analysis sub-module. This will display the average (MEAN) of the values being analysed in the assessment item, for the group or groups selected. When on the Assessment Analysis Group Comparison for Single Item criteria screen ticking the box for the new option of Show Group Mean will provide an additional column entitled MEAN alongside the Total column on the table. Clicking on any of the values within the column will display the corresponding students in the pop-up on the right-hand side of the screen as any of the cells of the table do already. 7
8 In order to be able to print the Mean column, a new export to.csv option has been added. Clicking on this option will export all of the data including the Mean column as.csv data and will display automatically in the program that is set as default to open.csv files (usually Microsoft Excel). The Mean column will not appear when the print to PDF or Excel options are selected. 8
9 2. Integris Mobile Behaviour Incident Recording The Integris Mobile functionality has been enhanced in v to offer the ability to record both Positive and Negative Behaviour Incidents. The Integris Mobile landing page has changed with both options now available rather than being greyed out as with previous versions. Tapping on the Positive option (+ve Behaviour) will bring you to the mobile student selection screen. From here you can select a student in much the same way as you are able to when selecting a student to Find. This can be done by either typing in a name in the search box or selecting a Class. 9
10 Selecting a Teaching Set, Year or Class will bring you the full list of students in that cohort. From here you can select one or multiple students by tapping on their name and highlighting them. Once you have selected the student or students for whom you wish to record an incident, tapping Next will bring you to the Behaviour Incident recording screen. 10
11 This works in much the same way as the Behaviour Quick Entry function in the main Integris system. You will need to select an Incident type as a minimum, but can also choose to record additional information such as Sub-Type or Action as well as deciding whether to issue points if the behaviour does not have any allocated by default. There is also an Incident Description box which you can choose to fill in with details of what happened. Tapping Save will record the incident and bring a confirmation on-screen; Tapping anywhere will then allow you to navigate back to the home page. Recording Negative Behaviour Incidents using the Integris Mobile screens works in the same way as for Positive Incidents as described above. There are several more options to select from on the Incident recording screen, as well as the option to Show Details which will expand the screen to allow you to record additional details such as Action Notes and To and From dates for the behaviour action being recorded. 11
12 3. ATF 9 Integris G2 now supports version 9 of Admissions Transfer Files as per the DfE guidelines. These will become available in this format from March 2012 onwards. 12
13 4. Service Call Item Resolutions The following additional items have been addressed as part of the Integris G2 v release. Where an item has been given a reference number on our internal tracking systems, this is listed for your convenience. Reference Requirement Detail General>Student Details: On generating a letter template that uses the <EntryDate> mail merge field it shows in the incorrect format YYYY-MM-DD General>Student Details: When using the merge field <Salutation>, the Communicate function requires the salutation field to not be NULL Assessment>Markbook: When attempting to open a Markbook which has an Assessment Item with a value of % or similar in the name, an FNA will occur Reports>Administration>Student Reports: The Medical Conditions Reports 'Search Criteria' is displayed twice below the Title in the report generated using Student Find option Reports>Ad-Hoc Reports: If you create an Ad-hoc report with just one field from the Additional Info area then you receive an FNA when you try to save it Attendance>Analysis Report: When running the Absence Analysis for all year groups, students are all mixed up and are not split into the correct year groups Assessment>Markbook: When adding Teaching sets as contextual data, the column width reverts back to the previous settings even after changing it Reports>Attendance Reports: The sort by class option does not work in the Group Attendance Code Analysis report Reports>Cover >Relief Reports: The Relief Allocation Summary report does not show the Staff covering for a period if no students are associated with the teaching set shown being covered Assessment>Planning: If a staff user has no Title entered in their record, they get an error 'This does not exist' when trying to open an Assessment Plan. 13
14 Reference Requirement Detail Reports>Assessment>Levels Analysis Report: The Single Assessment Item Report with the Point Score enabled shows the point scores truncated to a single digit so that e.g. the points 12 becomes (1) Reports->Administration->Student Reports: Notes displayed on the Check List report truncate if the & symbol is used Cover>Absences and Cover Allocation>Add room closure: The Room Search icon and Select a Room where a nonteaching set event only displays the AM periods having event in them. The PM period events are not shown Administration>Import & Export: A CTF Export with an Out of Scope selected as the destination school causes an FNA error if more than one pupil is selected Reports>Cover>Relief reports: On the Cover Advice report, a room closure is showing when it has not been set in Cover Module General>Student Details>Find> Searching for EMA students is returning a result of all students in the school even if they have their EMA Entitlement set to False General>Student Details: When using Communicate, if a % is included in the text then you receive an FNA when sending the Reports>Attendance>Attendance Forms > Group Absentee report: When Selecting Lates and greater than 0 Sessions/Percent, the report does not generate or correctly show the number of students. 14
