CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order at 3:04 p.m. by Mrs. Linda Harmon, AP&P Faculty Co-Chair. 2. OPENING COMMENTS FROM THE COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR Mrs. Harmon reported that she had heard from some faculty members that they did not have any courses due for review. She asked committee members to make sure their division members were informed. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. March 14, 2013 Minutes A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the March 14, 2013 AP&P meeting. Motion carried. 4. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS a AP&P Deadline Courses and Programs need to be approved by 11/14/2013 for Fall 2014 inclusion CORs that need to be revised this academic year List at the end of the agenda TMC Degrees that need to be developed and brought to AP&P List at the end of the agenda b. Existing Programs in CurricUNET Contact Melissa prior to creating a program copy c. Establish Proxy for voting purposes by submitting a memo to AP&P d. CurricUNET Workshops COR and Program Development Assistance Attendees can claim a maximum of 3 hours of Standard 1 Flex credit 1. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, 1:00-4:00 p.m. BE-321 (Linda Harmon) 2. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, 12:00-4:00 p.m. BE-321 (Linda Harmon) Mrs. Harmon noted that there would be one more workshop scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2013, but she would be open to presenting more workshops if there was a need. It was requested that she consider giving a workshop in May, but not on a Tuesday or Wednesday. e. Reviewing the Mission Statement A copy of the revised Mission Statement submitted by the Language Arts Division was distributed to committee members. Many representatives felt this version was more direct and to the point. Mrs. Harmon asked committee members to take the revised statement back to their divisions and come back to the meeting on April 25, 2013 with feedback. f. Repeatability Data was distributed to committee members, and Mrs. Harmon asked that division feedback be brought back to the next meeting on April 11, AP&P Agenda 03/28/2013 Page 1 of 16

She asked that divisions submit the names of the replacement faculty, and also reminded members that each representative needed to have a faculty member designated as a proxy. i. Results of SLO Meeting Mrs. Harmon reported that a meeting was held with Melanie Parker and members of Academic Affairs to discuss communication between the SLO Committee and AP&P. There is a need for faculty to know if and when their SLOs have been approved. Committee members discussed various options for having this information show on CurricUNET and it was agreed that two boxes be added to the COR form to indicate (a) that the SLO has been submitted (yes or no), and (b) that the SLO has been approved (yes or no). Mrs. Harmon will check and see if this would be possible to add into CurricUNET. 6. ACTION ITEM Distance Education Courses a. Online FTV 101, Introduction to Film Mrs. Harmon noted that this course was approved during the fall semester. However, the committee neglected to approve the distance ed online course. A motion was made and seconded to table this course due to there being no division representation present. Motion carried. 7. ACTION ITEM New Program Development a. Early Childhood Education, AS-T The SLO for this course will be presented at the April 8, 2013 SLO meeting. A motion was made and seconded to table this program until the SLO is approved. Motion carried. b. History, AA-T A motion was made and seconded to table this program until an appropriate plan of study is submitted. Motion carried. c.
