13 Document Management & Identification In lieu of creating multiple parallel repositories, it is proposed that the developer create a shared document repository to cover the document library, audio/video library, project database, news sections the who s who directories of people and organisations. The results would allow for a centralized mega-search, but also section-specific searches. The documents in the shared repository will be indexed according to a common taxonomy, with each section having a unique set of format-tags. Shared Taxonomy Areas: Topics (a list of terms that pertain to Migration and Development themes/activities) Geography Languages Search Results Pages should incorporate taxonomy-driven filtering, and use a tab system to show results according to workspace section. This will allow users to branch beyond a single section (from library to profiles, for example) when searching for content. 13

14 Membership Management It is proposed that the developer create one master membership form, with multiple selection boxes to enable the same form to serve multiple purposes. The primary function of the form is registering as a user of the site. Optional additions (for either the user or the Admin to select) include joining the Lyris Network, submission for inclusion in the Who s Who database, The entire site should be provided in 2 languages (English and French) All pages should be editable in Dreamweaver, with the exception of the forms and databases. It is requested that the developer investigate the possibility of creating editable forms and databases in Sharepoint, that the site admin could easily adjust. The developer is requested to advise on the possibility of encouraging users to create their personal homepages on Sharepoint, as well as the possibility for developing personal homepages for each user.
