1 XTRACTION NEW FEATURES The new release of Xtraction provides a wide range of dynamic new features to enhance its already robust reporting and dashboard capabilities. INTERFACE The interface has been redesigned with a cleaner look, providing more room for your data. You will now be able to display a custom logo on the main screen, replacing the Xtraction logo with your own. Users should also see increased interface performance due to less processing activity between the browser and Xtraction server. DISPLAY MODE (PLASMA/LCD) For customers running dashboards on large screen displays, the new Large Display Mode profile option increases the font size within grids and tables. This allows for component titles and specific data to be more easily read from a distance. These options allow for the selection of font sizes for the title and the data displayed within the component.

2 FOLDERS + OBJECT SEARCH All types of objects will now be housed in a single folder structure, rather than in separate lists. Customers moving from the previous version will have their folder structure merged into this single structure upon upgrade. The capability to search against the titles of Dashboards, Documents, and Reports can now be performed. A date range can be incorporated into the criteria, as well as selecting to return results based on Owned by me designations. Objects can then be accessed from the location list displayed. LOCALISATION With the general interface changes, Xtraction now supports localised languages for different regions. DATA MODEL EDITOR The data model editor is a standalone tool used to manage the data models Xtraction utilises to connect to your data sources. This will allow you to manage your own data model fields and labels to cater for change/add/delete activities. DASHBOARDS From within the dashboard designer you are now able to copy components within a dashboard. If you are creating a dashboard with similar components, this feature will allow you to define the first component and then copy it to the additional positions on the dashboard. As with most Xtraction functions, this is addressed simply, just hold down the CTL key and drag the component within the dashboard to the pane to be copied to.

3 As in most of our previous upgrades, a number of new dashboard layout options have been enabled. CUSTOM REPORTS Where you have custom reporting needs or specific business logic that needs to be applied to the data, custom reports will address these requirements. Custom reports allow advanced users to provide SQL code to be run against a data source, with the results displayed on screen and available for export. The designer can define the custom report to also require parameters to be prompted for, allowing for even greater flexibility in manipulating the data. CUSTOM REPORT DESIGNER A custom report designer has been included to allow custom reports to be completely formatted for export as desired. After a custom report has been setup within Xtraction, a template can be designed and associated with the custom report for use when exporting. This now provides you complete control in displaying and delivering record lists and selected data in the layout formats you, and your company, desires. COMPONENTS GROUP COMPONENTS The group component has been enhanced to support multiple series. This will enable you to view more data within the one component, maximizing the use of dashboard display area. Examples include; displaying count and average in the same component, or viewing different time periods, such as this year vs. last year, in a single group component. Each series can be managed to display data as desired, such as; count, sum, average, min, or max values.

4 PIVOT COMPONENTS The Group Pivot component is now known as the Pivot Component and has been expanded in functionality. This upgrade provides the ability to pivot by time as well as by existing group pivot method. Pivot combinations available are Group/Group, Group/Time, and Time/Time. Slicing the data across time with 2 variables allows access to very powerful data combinations and finite level of trending to be identified. COMPONENT MANAGEMENT Additional control over data management has been enhanced to provide the following functions within associated components: X and Y Axis Label X and Y Axis Labels can be entered to display against Group and Time oriented charts. Hide 0 s (zeros) this allows any 0 values or percentages to be hidden from display within dashboards or exported grid and text based components. Hiding the 0 s will allow pertinent and valuable data to be more easily seen within the component. Distinct Records Only checking this will only display records once in a record list if in fact the columns or filter applied resulted in a record being displayed more than once. Quickly view associated Notes if notes have been entered against a dashboard/document/report, or a sub component, a new icon will appear in the associated header that displays these notes when moused over. Quick access to edit saved dashboards and reports a user with Designer level access can now quickly open a saved dashboard from the Home interface by clicking on the icon within the menu bar. This saves time previously involved in having to locate the dashboard or report from the associated Tools folder.

5 RECORD LISTS Previously, record lists were only able to be sorted based on a single heading. Now, you have the ability to sort the record lists on multiple headings. This can be set at the group level by the Xtraction Administrator and controlled by each individual user based on preference. FILTERS ADVANCED FILTERS Advanced filters allow complete control over how your filters are to be interpreted. Designed for the advanced user, these filters allow you to specify the exact filter logic and grouping to be used when data is being queried. Entering AND, OR statements into the same filter, can now be achieved easily with the same simple point-andclick process that has made Xtraction so enjoyable to use. FILTER DISCOVERY (ADMINISTRATORS) Filter discovery has been updated and can be run multiple times. As time goes on and data changes, this will allow you to generate new filters based on your current data. XTRACTION CONNECTOR You will now be able to use Xtraction to report against data from within the Xtraction database. The Xtraction connector enables access to such metrics as; dashboard usage, user access trending, browsers being used to access Xtraction, and user group associations and permissions.
