2 0 Introduction About this Manual About this Manual This document summarizes the steps to be taken by overseas companies after completing registration. Use this manual as a guide to setting up the log-in procedure, creating your own pages, and making full use of the J-GoodTech Website.

3 0 Introduction Table of Contents index Chapter Edit Company Profile The Company Profile serves as your home page. On the J-GoodTech Website, company search results are based on your registered corporate information. The more detailed the information is, the better the chances are that your company will appear in the search results. P0 Chapter 3 Set Up the Layout of Pages to Be Published After registering your products, technologies, and services, as described in Chapter 4, the next step is to set up the layout of your web pages. 4 Edit Company Profile The Company Profile serves as your home page. On the J-GoodTech Website, company search results are based on registered corporate information. The more detailed the information is, the better the chance that your company will be in the search results. 3

5 Edit Company Profile () Go to Edit Company Profile Screen J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page Click "Present Your Company" Click the "Present Your Company" tab on the screen after logging in. Click "Edit Company Profile" Click "Edit Company Profile" to go to the setup screen. Point Try to perfect your Company Profile The Company Profile provides information about your company s features. Try to make the profile as complete as possible to increase your chances of coming up in the search results. 4

6 Edit Company Profile () Edit Company Profile The Company Profile consists of six tabs from contact information to tag information as shown on the left side of the screen. (See page shows common matters for each screen. below.) This J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page > Set Up Company Profile Select the language for editing. Two screens, one for Japanese and one for English, are available 3 for the Company Profile. Select one of the languages for your editing. (This page shows you how to edit in English.) (The same is applicable for editing in Japanese.) Select the screen to be edited. The Company Profile consists of six different screens. Select one screen for your editing work. 3 Click the "Edit" button. Click the "Edit" button on the screen with the information you will be editing. You do not need to click the button on other screens that do not have information to be edited. 4 Fill in all fields marked with. marked fields are required. If any required fields are left 4 blank, you will not be able to register your edited information. (If it is difficult to fill in a field, input "-" instead.) All other fields are optional. Fill in as many fields as you can. 5

The contact information will be used when the secretariat needs to contact you. Fill in the phone number of the contact person designated for your company. 6

8 Edit Company Profile (3) Save Edited Company Profile J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page > Set Up Company Profile "Save as Draft" Clicking this temporarily saves the data you have input on this screen. The data you save will not be disclosed to other companies. This is a useful function when your input work is interrupted. Save (the current screen) Clicking this saves the data you have input on this screen. 3 The data you save will be disclosed to other companies. 3 Save (all screens) Clicking this saves the data you have input on all the screens for editing the Company Profile. The data you save will be disclosed to other companies. If you are changing information on multiple screens, use "Save as Draft" on each screen and finally click this "Save" button so that you can conveniently publish all changes at once. 7

"Information about features" is where you briefly introduce your company's products, technologies, services, and any other features. The following explains each item. Slogan and lead: The first information seen by the people who are searching for companies on this site. Title of features: Use phrases that highlight your products, technologies, and/or services. "Tag" is a technical term or proper name associated with your products, technologies, and services. Setting tags will increase the chance of your company appearing in the search results for viewers who use the terms and/or names that you have registered. A Point How to enter tags Click the "Add" button ( A ) to increase the number of fields for new tag entries. Clicking the " " button removes a tag. Be sure to click the "Save" button at the end. 9

12 Edit product and technology information () Go to product and technology information Edit Screen J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page Click "Present Your Company." Click the "Present Your Company" tab on the screen after logging in. Click "Edit product and technology information." Click "Edit product and technology information" to go to the setup screen.

13 Edit Product and Technical Information () Select Language for Editing J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page > Edit Product and Technical Information Click "Add product information in Japanese" or "Add product information in English." Click "Japanese" or "English" to select the language for information to be added.

14 Edit Product and Technical Information (3) Input Product Information J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page > Edit Product and Technical Information > Edit and Input Information in Japanese Input your product information. The "Product and Technology Names" field located at the top is required. Be sure to input this field; if you leave it blank, you will not be able to save the data in the other fields. (Go to the next page to see how the fields on this page are displayed on the Website.) Click the "Confirm" button. 3 3 After entering the information, click the "Confirm" button. Click the "Register" button. Check that all entries are correct and click the "Register" button. Point Registered information will not be published at this point. Registration of the product information is now completed. The next step is to set up the layout of the information display on the screen. After completion of the layout setting, the registered information will be published. 3

16 Edit Product and Technical Information (3) Input Product Information A Q FAQ J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page > Edit Product and Technical Information > Edit and Input Information in Japanese Q. What type of function is "Select File"? A. "Select File" sets up images, documents, and other data. Registering images of products will allow viewers to easily grasp an overview of your products. For those with an "Add" button, you can register more than one file. Video files cannot be attached. If you want to include a video, input the YouTube or other URL of the video file in the "Description" field. Point Input images of products You can register images by clicking the "Select File" button. If you click "Add", a new field will be added. Use this button when you want to input multiple documents and other data. You can attach more than one image. 5

What is a "tag"? (Product) A. "Tag" is a technical term or proper name associated with your products. Setting up tags will increase the chance that your company will appear in the search results for viewers who use the terms and/or names that you have registered. Point How to enter tags Click the "Add" button to increase the number of fields for new tag entries. At the end, click the "Setting" button to register the tags. 6

18 Set Up the Layout of Pages to Be Published After registering your products as described in Chapter 4, the next step is to set up the layout of your company s web pages. 7

19 3 Set Up the Layout of Pages to Be Published Image of Your Company s Complete Page The photo below is a sample image of your company s complete page. This chapter shows you how to set up the main image and the layout of the product information in order to improve your pages. Main Image This is the main image for your company s web pages. You can set up only one main image. Select an image that best represents your company. Images of Product and Technical Information You can set up more than one image for the product and technical Information. You can also select the display order of the images. 8

20 Set Up the Layout of Pages to Be Published 3 () Go to Screen to Set Up the Layout of Your company s Pages J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page Click "Present Your Company." After logging in, click the "Present Your Company" tab located on the left side of the screen. Select the language on the layout setup screen. Select Japanese or English and click its button. 9

Input the title of the main image, which is required. 5 Click the "Upload" button. 6 The title of the added image will be displayed. Clicking the "Upload" button displays the title in the "Main Image" field. 6

"Normal Preview" is a function used to view the current published pages of your company as well as saved drafts. Clicking "Normal Preview" usually saves the current view as a draft. Confirm the data that you have input before clicking "Publish".

24 Set Up the Layout of Pages to Be Published 3 (3) Publish Product Information J-GoodTech Top Page > Log-in > My Page > Layout Setup Click the "+" Button to Add Products Clicking the " + " button adds a new "Add Product" field. Select Products Clicking displays the list of products that you added through the "Edit Product and Technical Information" 3 function. Select the products that you want to publish on the Website. 3 Click the "Publish" button. Clicking the "Publish" button publishes the selected products. 3

"Save as Draft" is a function used to temporarily save the data that you have input on this screen. The data that you save as a draft will not be disclosed to other companies. 4

What do the icons next to the "Add Product" button mean? Image of Complete Page A. The icons next to the "Add Products" button are used to set up the layout of pages to be published. "-": Clicking this icon removes the product. " ": Clicking this icon moves the product up in order. This indicates the display order of products on the website. The product at the top will be displayed at the leftmost of the page. 5
