3 Easy to Navigate The new Quartz interface makes it easy for you to find what you re looking for, know what you ve got to do, and navigate quickly and simply. Quartz ensures you can get things done, no matter where you are.

4 More Flexible Working Our new interface not only looks good, but ensures you can work the same way no matter what platform you are on PC or Mac, laptop, tablet or mobile. So now you can work from the office, at home, or on site. Online Document Viewing is an integral part of BC, now offered as a zero install web-based capability allowing you and your project partners to access, review, compare and mark-up 000 s of documents and 2D drawings from any device.

5 Work Smarter When you re working with supply chains or large project teams, how do you ensure compliance with BS1192 naming conventions? By adding automatic document number generated placeholders (predefined with names & metadata) will help increase the accuracy and compliance of information deliverables. So now, for instance, the design lead can schedule out a series of drawing numbers and reserve their use for the design team. Combined with drag & drop upload, placeholders speed up information exchange. How do you control the uploading of large amounts of data from diverse sources including other systems? Simply upload a CSV file with the file names and metadata, then when ready, import the completed documents and drawings to auto-match the placeholders in one easy step. This makes transferring 000 s of files from your supply chain en masse quick and easy.

6 Encouraging Collaboration Irrespective of whether you are using a mouse and keyboard or a touch screen device, you are able to collaborate efficiently and quickly with colleagues and the supply chain. Sending documents for review and approval has never been easier. To simplify document issuing and other predefined processes, workflow has been reduced to a single stage form. notifications with click-through access ensure approval, comment or review of issued information to your colleagues is quick, simple and secure.

7 Work on documents from a controlled and managed area before publishing into a more public, read only area for consumption by a wider audience. For instance, work through snagging or checklists before publishing to a publicly accessible area, or collate and publish information manuals for Operation and Maintenance teams after handover.

8 The GeoLink module allows you to present your geo-located projects and assets on accurate and detailed Ordnance Survey maps, and combine with your own GIS or publicly available data sources from OS, Environment Agency and others to support enhanced decision making across your business. Enhancing the Experience with Maps add-in and GeoLink module* If you re managing large programmes of work, it can be difficult visualising where projects are located, how the surrounding environment impacts upon them, or how to plan best use of resources. It is time-consuming and expensive waiting for surveys and third party reports on environmental impacts, or difficult accessing in-house GIS data and connecting that information with your project or asset data. The new Maps add-in brings a visual experience to your geo-located projects and/or assets. In conjunction with our optional GeoLink module, we can layer external data sets to help with planning, design, building and maintenance. Now you can combine native BC data with external data sources, and immediately benefit from deeper insights into your geo-located projects and assets, all in a single view. No more hunting around different databases or departments, waiting for reports and surveys, or searching across out of date information. Simply click on a project location to drill down for related information. * Optional functionality with additional costs

9 Enhancing the Experience with extra Security, Digital Signatures and Content Searching add-ins* Security has always been high priority for GroupBC. Not only do we give you the option to enforce strong passwords but now we offer an extra level of security with a choice from Two Factor Authentication, similar to internet banking, or SAML, a third-party identity provider (e.g. Microsoft Azure Active Directory), enabling single sign-on. These options ensure BC remains one of the most secure CDE solutions in the UK, giving peace of mind about the security of your data. Now there s no need to interrupt the digital flow or integrity of your work, by printing documents to sign them. If your workflow needs a signature we now offer Digital Signatures from Adobe Sign enabling you to sign contractual documents online. Document Content Searching enables the contents of millions of documents to be indexed and searched using simple keywords ensuring even our largest clients can rapidly retrieve important documents when needed, no matter how many you have stored. * Optional functionality with additional costs

10 Making Life Easier for Administrators BC has always been flexible enough to deal with various types of objects used across the lifecycle of an asset. Now Administrators can set up different Spaces and Hubs for not only Projects, but also Programmes, Assets, Sites, Locations, and Clients, to help them manage Users and make reporting on progress easier. Hubs add a greater degree of flexibility to reflect the lifecycle of the asset, and make Administration simpler. For example, the Capital Delivery team could be focused on projects and ensuring their smooth running and delivery. O&M could be focused on the assets across the estate. Project Managers can track which projects are live across a programme of work. Configuration has been simplified and a number of enhancements have been made to make life simpler for Administrators when configuring schemas and sub schemas, especially useful when configuring for BS1192/PAS1192.
