1 Explore the What s New Page This guide will help you learn about important features and functionality in the Employee Training Center (ETC). Once you have signed in to the ETC, the See What s New page displays. Depending upon your site s configuration, you may: View scheduled Instructor Led Training and Live Events under Upcoming Events. Explore courses or other content highlighted by your campus in the Featured Topics area. Find messages from your campus. See promoted content to launch now or save to your learning plan. 2 Web Accessibility Page To make the Employee Training Center (ETC) more accessible, a web accessibility feature is available on the site. This feature meets Section 508 and W3C compliance standards that will allow individuals who use assistive technologies, such as screen reader software*, to specify their accessibility needs. * A screen reader is software that converts onscreen text to speech and is often used by individuals with a visual impairment. Once you have logged into the ETC, If you would like to enable web accessibility, click on the Enable Web Accessibility checkbox. The web accessibility option will immediately open on your screen in which you will click Enable. KEY REMINDERS: This web accessibility set up will need to be completed on all computers and internet browsers while accessing the ETC. Always remember to click on the Enable Web Accessibility checkbox when you log into the ETC, at future times. Last Updated: January 5,
3 Browse the Catalog for Content Find content by clicking Browse the Catalog and selecting a subject. Content libraries may be organized by subject area or by job role, competencies, or other areas relevant to your organization s training goals. You can also find CSUF customized ILT / online courses under Campus Custom Content. Once you select a subject, you can filter your content options: Use the filters and refinement options on the left. View content options in the carousel. Search through newly released content, organized by content type. Last Updated: January 5,
4 Search for Content You can find content by using Search. All assets that reside in your campus catalog along with all resources including books, audiobooks, and videos will appear in your search results. Enter terms in Search and click. You can also: o Select pre search filtering options to refine your results prior to performing a search. o You may also filter after your search to refine your results. Last Updated: January 5,
5 Use Advanced Search After your initial search, you can refine your search results: Click Show Filter and the Refine By dialog displays. Select your refinements from the available options. Click Refine to apply your filters. Last Updated: January 5,
6 Find Recently Viewed Content You can quickly return to content that you ve recently viewed. Click Recently Viewed to see a list of recent content items. Last Updated: January 5,
7 Accessing Certificates To access your certificate(s) for training that you completed in the Employee Training Center (ETC), click on Quick Links then select Learning Transcript. For trainings taken on the ETC prior to June 1, 2015, select Certificates Prior to June 1, For trainings taken on the ETC after June 1, 2015, select Learning Transcript to view a transcript of all the content you ve launched. To view your certificate for a completed training, select Actions then select View Certificate. Last Updated: January 5,
8 Learning Transcript To access your Learning Transcript for trainings that were completed on the ETC after June 1, 2015, click on Quick Links, then select Learning Transcript and Learning Transcript again. To access your Learning Transcript for trainings completed prior to June 1, 2015, select Change listed below Learning Transcript, then select Imported and OK. Last Updated: January 5,
9 Manage your My Plan View and manage your assignments by clicking View My Plan. This area is also known as the Learning Plan. There are two tabs in your learning plan: The Assigned Learning tab contains content that your manager has assigned to you. Development Plans are also found here. The Personal Learning tab contains content that you have saved for completion, as well as any bookmarks in the Library that you have created. Last Updated: January 5,

11 Check your To Do List Use the To Do List to quickly view your upcoming and overdue content items without having to open your learning plan. Click the To Do List' icon. View Upcoming and overdue items. You can launch content directly from your To Do List, or click to close and return to Skillport. Last Updated: January 5,
12 Training Status Icon Training Status will be conveyed either through the icon or transcript.
