1 Skill: Printing Certificates Target Role: Learners, Managers and Site Administrators The majority of Home Care Institute courses offer Continuing Education (CE) hours for nurses. In the near future, we will also be offering CE hours for therapists and social workers as well. When taking a course, the course information page from the Training Catalog provides details about whether the course offers continuing education hours and the number offered. From the Training Catalog, click the title of the course to view the details page. After successfully completing a course, you can print your CE certificate from your transcript located within your mini card (profile) or from the My Training panel. Managers and administrators can print certificates for their employees either individually or in bulk from the Team Training panel. This job aid reviews how to access and print CE certificates within the LearnCenter. 13
2 Printing Certificates from the Employee Profile (Learner) To access and print CE certificates from the employee profile: 1. Click the Employee Profile located in the top right corner of the LearnCenter. 2. From the Training Profile, select and click a completed course. 24
3 3. Click the Print Certificate button in the top right corner. 4. The certificate will open as an Adobe Acrobat file. Based on your version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, select the Print icon on the Acrobat window to print the certificate or the Save icon to save it to your hard drive. Note: you may need to hover over the top or bottom of the window to display the print and save icons. 33
4 Printing Certificates from the My Training Dashboard (Learner) To access and print CE certificates from the My Training dashboard: 1. Click the My Training panel in the top right corner of the LearnCenter. 2. By default, currently assigned training that you are Enrolled (not started) or that is In Progress appears here as part of your To Do list. Click on the tab to the right labeled History. It will appear to be lighter in color when not selected. 44
5 3. On the History page find the course for which you wish you print a certificate. Click the Details link below the title of that course. This will open the transcript history for that specific course. 4. Click the Print Certificate button in the top right corner to open, view and print your certificate (follow directions above for saving and printing the certificate). Save Print 53
6 Printing Certificates from the Team Training Dashboard (Managers and Site Administrators) Managers and Site Administrators can print certificates for their employees from the Team Training Dashboard as follows: 1. Click to select the Team Training dashboard from the bottom left section of the Home page. 2. Change to List View from the bottom of the Team Training window. 64
7 3. Set your course selection criteria from the left side of the window, making sure to select a Status of Completed. You can search for one or more courses, multiple learners, business unit levels, etc. With the selection criteria entered, click the Search button in the top left section of the window to return the results. 4. Use the checkboxes to the left of each name to select one or more completed courses. Click the Action button in the top right corner and select Print Certificate(s). 73
8 5. The selected certificates will open in Adobe Acrobat where they can be printed or saved to your hard drive. 6. Alternately, you can click a completed course from the Team Training window to open the transcript details for the course. From that window, you can click the Print Certificate button to print the certificate for the selected course. 84
