1 Goals Introduce/re-introduce the e-portfolio aka the ISU FAD to enter Teaching/Librarianship, Scholarship/Research, Service, General Information data. Entering data in all fields: there is currently no requirement to fill in all fields; e.g. many categories include Responsibilities/Brief Description (30 Words or Fewer) AND/OR Brief Description of Committee's Key Accomplishments. This information might be something that Committees may wish to standardize across campus for ease of entry in future. Miscellaneous Information OLDER DATA: if you were here when we last used this application, you should find your data from that time period. You can check that and also fill in back data as needed or requested. Check END DATES as needed (e.g. Committees). DATES: in most cases, entering specific day of the week is not REQUIRED FILLING IN ALL FIELDS: all fields are NOT required. Some decisions about standardizing entries needs to be discussed at Department and College level Faculty Guide: PasteBoard feature allows you to copy text from another document, such as your vita in Microsoft Word, and paste it into the PasteBoard. After you have pasted text into the PasteBoard, you can then select text from it, click-and-hold on the text you selected, and drag the text into a field in the system to have it pasted into the field. To access the PasteBoard, click the text PasteBoard in the bottom right-hand side of the screen. No Spellcheck is built in. Delete something? Check it in order for Delete button to appear. This expands on the feature delivered late last year that enables you to load information from citation repositories such as Google Scholar, Library of Congress, Scopus and Web of Science. If you have your citations in a reference manager such as EndNote, ProCite, RefWorks or Zotero, you can now load them from those systems directly into Activity Insight as well. To use this new feature, access Activity Insight, navigate to the Intellectual Contributions screen and then select the new Import Items button. From there, the system will walk you through importing your publication citations from PubMed. Check AUDIENCE OF CIRCULATION [International > Local]; menu includes Add New Item AND Import Items; plus Store file is available under Full-text of the item; update status of submissions as needed [expected, submitted, accepted, published]; Sycamore Scholars connection Is this publicly available? INTERPRETATION: this could mean available directly from a personal website, from your journal s website [if permanently available, Open Access], or it could mean linking to the citation/article from one of the ISU Library s databases [use the Web Address field above and insert a PERMALINK URL].
