3 What s New on BizSuite 2014 Overview In this release, we have focused on enhancements and new content, ensuring that we continue to provide a template that can deliver both standard reporting requirements as well as the ability to configure your own reports. In addition to this, we have added some exciting new features and included minor functionality improvements, improving usability when working within the BizSuite reports. These include: Enhancements Item Description Ribbon-based interface A New Ribbon-based interface - Our intuitive redesigned interface can help you streamline workflow and perform functions quicker than ever before. Our new ribbons are designed to guide you through the process of formatting reports, with functions and tasks presented in the order you would normally do them. What s more, you can see the effects of changing global report settings in real-time. Never has it been easier to find what you re looking for thanks to our always-accessible ribbons. We have also grouped commands into more logical categories, all with the intent of saving you time when preparing your reports. Note for existing users: All report settings are now specified within the report and organized into the ribbons for convenience. As such the document ER Financial statement options no longer exists. Improved content The ability to view a report in either a Summary or Detailed format via a simple selection. An option to include Annotations on each report, allowing for additional notes, tick-marks and references. Deselected columns and skipped rows will now both skip and hide at a click of a button providing a review type mode. A Sort option on the Contents page, allows you to sort the order of your contents page and order of the reports, without having to worry about selecting these in the correct order up front, or having to reselect the order every time you make a change. Statement of Financial Performance EBIT and EBITDA sections added to all Statement of Financial Performance reports including a breakdown of the calculation.
4 Earnings per share section and comprehensive note added to the Statement of Financial Performance Notes have been added to the Statement of financial performance. Graphs A host of standard Graphs are now included with the Statement of Financial Performance and Statement of Financial Position reports with the ability to edit or add your own graphs. New Cluster reports New reports providing enhanced consolidation reporting allowing you to report on a specific mapping or grouping category across multiple entities/divisions/cost centres or departments in a simplified format. This is not only useful for intercompany or group reporting, but at departmental and divisional levels too. Cash flow by Direct and Indirect method We have added an additional report and you now have the option to choose between the Direct Statement of Cash flow and the Indirect Statement of Cash flows. New Ratios analysis and operation review report A New report that will provide you with additional valuable information about the data within your file. We have included all commonly used financial ratios from a business perspective with an option to insert your own input or linked to excel ratios. The Ratios and operational analysis report also contains non-financial sections allowing you to report on items such as Debtors ageing, Customer measures, Learning and Growth, Capex, Foreign exchange, Payroll and Stock. All of which can be automated via mapping too.

Known Issues Issue Solution When a row WITH a balance is set to never print and then back to print again, this row may jump out of the section it is contained in, when that section is collapsed. In the review mode, certain line descriptions in the description column of the reports do not wrap. Table column headings wrap incorrectly on subsequent pages when the number of columns selected do not fit on one page. In the Cluster reports, if rows are sorted while the cursor is on a filter row, the filter rows get sorted with the table rows. We recommend NOT setting a row with a balance to never print, as although the row with the balance is skipped, it will still add to the total and thus cause a casting difference. If you have done this, you can delete the row and then re-insert this within the section again. When viewed in print preview or when printed these line descriptions will print correctly. In the Refresh section of the Home tab in the Ribbon, click on Table heading When sorting rows, ensure that you click on an actual table row first before sorting as this will exclude the filter rows. When adjusting table properties, certain percentage (%) cells may change the display to a currency symbol instead of the percentage symbol. While in the Edit table mode, double click on the cell to open the Edit cell dialogue. From the Numeric section under Properties, set the Currency/Unit Symbol source to Percentage.
6 System Requirements General Requirements A comprehensive list of important guidelines for the recommended hardware and network environment required to run the latest CaseWare Working Papers and templates is in the Installation Guide and can be found within your software download file. Specific Requirements Minimum screen resolution for the Ribbon interface is 1366 x 768. The hard disk requirements for BizSuite: Minimum MB for BizSuite template content and libraries Minimum MB for each open BizSuite client file Minimum 43.7 MB for each compressed BizSuite client file
