1 Adding a Property Checkpoint ADD Checkpoint Name STEP 1 The name of this checkpoint you create here can be the same name you choose for the issue type name or different. The name created here will only appear under the Edit Property area under the checkpoints list of items for PC users to edit or delete the checkpoint. ADD a Checkpoint Location STEP 2 The checkpoint location is important to list as this area allows you to keep track of the location the Checkpoint (QR) label is posted. This is important for the field user to know and will allow for easy replacement locating. ADD a QR Code Value STEP 3 IMPORTANT When creating a QR code value you MUST ONLY use letters A-Z, Numbers 0-9. You may combine letters with number and use caps. DO NOT use spaces, hashtags or any other symbols. Doing so can cause problems with some devices reading the QR code. 1

2 As a QR Code Value is entered, the QR code display window to the right will adjust with each character entered. You may use the display to scan the QR code directly from your PC screen to test the new checkpoint. IMPORTANT! If new Checkpoints are added or edited while a user is logged into a mobile device the checkpoint will NOT be found. All newly added data will require a fresh user log in to the field device to receive the newly updated data. Choose Property Address STEP 4 Select the property address from the list of pre-entered addresses. If the property only has one address it will display in the property address field. Choose Checkpoint Unit STEP 5 If the property you are setting a checkpoint at has units and the checkpoint will be placed at the unit, you may select one from the dropdown window. 2

3 Checkpoint Last Hit This section is a READ ONLY area that displays the Date this checkpoint was last hit by the field user. You may also view the Checkpoint Summary to verify multiple checkpoint hits by clicking on this button in the bottom left corner of the Issue Monitor. Choose Checkpoint Issue Type STEP 6 Check point issue types are selected from your systems pre-entered list of Security issue types ONLY. If you do not see an issue type in the dropdown window you wish to utilize, it may be because the issue type is inactive or has not been added to the list. You may access your issue types under Issue Types under the Edit Property area. STEP 7 ADD Checkpoint Notes Here you can enter detailed report notes which will appear in the DAR report notes entry area every time the checkpoint is used. 3

4 STEP 8 ADD Checkpoint Instructions Here you can enter checkpoint instructions which will pop up in a display window for the handheld user to view each time the checkpoint is used. HINT! This area can also be used to direct the handheld user to the next location upon scanning this checkpoint. (OPTIONAL) Overdue ALERTS can be set to notify users who have their Edit Notifications checked to receive overdue alerts. ONLY one alert notification time per checkpoint can be set for each checkpoint. Multiple alert times cannot be set for one checkpoint. When Enabling the Overdue Alert feature, simply check the Enable box, choose the Overdue time & the days of the week users would like to be notified. 4

5 Setting the Allow Keep Open STEP 9 (OPTIONAL) The Allow Keep Open is an (Optional) feature which auto sets the checkpoint to remain open in the handheld device s main screen, allowing the handheld user to access and re-open the checkpoint after selecting Submit to add additional photos or notes. If this feature is NOT selected the handheld will automatically return the handheld user to the main screen upon scanning the checkpoint QR code auto closing the checkpoint. Setting the Require Photo STEP 10 (OPTIONAL) The Require Photo is an (Optional) feature which auto sets the checkpoint to REQUIRE (1) photo to be taken when a QR code is scanned. Upon scanning the QR code, the device camera will auto activate prompting the hand held user to take a photo. The Require Photo option ONLY allows (1) photo to be taken per checkpoint scan. If multiple photos are required, it is recommended to utilize the standard security issue type feature to create the issue. 5

6 STEP 11 Upon completing all required & optional fields you MUST click on the RED Add / Save Checkpoint button located at the bottom middle of the ADD/EDIT PROPERTY CHECKPOINT screen. IMPORTANT! You MUST always click on the Add / Save Checkpoint button when Adding or Editing a checkpoint to successfully save the changes. A handheld user MUST log out and back in to a device when checkpoint are added or edited to receive the new data changes. 6

7 Printing QR Labels Pointers! When creating or printing your new QR Code labels / stickers you MUST keep the QR Code values consistent. You MUST make sure the QR Code value you enter in Silvertrac matches exactly to the QR Code you create value online or order for delivery. Do NOT create or enter spaces in your QR code values and only use letter A-Z or combine with numbers 0-9. Using characters such as *! + = can cause scanning issues. It is also recommended keeping the QR Code Value as short as possible. There are several places online one can create and order QR codes from, the choice is up to you. Printing QR Labels using Silvertrac (Optional) If you choose to print your QR Code labels using Silvertrac in sticker format, you MUST use Avery Labels or you may simply print the labels on standard 8.5 x 11 paper stock and attach / protect with items of your choice. On the menu bar go scroll to: STEP 1 7

10 Excel Checkpoint Report You may also choose to run an Excel (CSV) Checkpoint Report. This report will provide the following information: The Excel Checkpoint Report provides users with a complete list or ALL checkpoints, or checkpoints at specific properties in one easy report format. This report is commonly used to track a checkpoint location, should a checkpoint code need replacement. On the menu bar go scroll to: STEP 1 Select and click on STEP 2 STEP 3 Select your Date and Run times by clicking on the Date and Time Fields. 10
