1 Taylor & Francis E-Books ( Taylor & Francis is one of the leading global academic publishers and part of the Academic Division of Informa plc, which is the leading provider of specialist information to the global academic & scientific, professional and commercial communities via publishing, events and performance improvement. Taylor & Francis Group publishes more than 1000 journals and around 1,800 new books each year in science, built environment, humanities, social science, education, health, behavioural science, and other professional subjects. Members of NLIST program can access of 1800 e-books published by Taylor and Frances e-books. The home page of Taylor Francis E-Books provides option for Basic Search and Advanced Content Search. The interface also provides facility for browsing books by alphabetically and subject wise. Browse From home page of Taylor and Francis, Click on Browse option. It provides options to browse e-books either by alphabetically or by subject wise. Click on subject of interest to view list of e-books available in that subject area. Click on alphabet to view titles of e- books starting with that alphabet. For example click on Education. It shows 3,444 e- books. Browse Alphabetically Browse Journals by Subject wise *Do not log on to the URL directly. 2 Now user can see the list of e- books on Education. Click on any of the e-book to view home page. For example, click on e-learning and Social Networking Handbook, Resources for Higher Education List of e-books available in particular subject After clicking on title, it shows home page of e-book which contains table of content, option for full text view, add in shortlist or view citation of e-book. 3 Taylor Francis E-Books provides 2 type of searching option Basic Search and Advanced Content Search. Basic Search This option provide facility to search desired search terms. For example, enter a search term internet in text entry box and click on Go to execute basic search. Run Basic Search Search Result The screenshot given below displays the search result of the previous query. It also contains small description of each book. User can further modify their search using options available on left hand side. User can also refine their previous search by subject areas or publication date. Click on Open and Read option to download full-text of e-book in PDF format. 4 Advanced Content Search Advanced Content Search enables user to conduct a comprehensive, focused search on the entire catalogue with highly relevant results. It is a powerful search engine optimised for in-depth, full content search that uses filter techniques to return the most incisive search results. It also provides advanced features like stemming, wildcard, proximity and category facilitating instant access to the desired section of content. 5 A user can save the search in Search history for future use, so that he/she can return to it and rerun it whenever he/she wishes. User can also set up alert on their search query by selecting preference. When articles, matching with search query, are published, user will automatically receive alerts containing details of new contents. Browse Search History Enter name of search query and description click on Save Set up alert Managing Bookshelf User can manage their personal bookshelf by adding titles of their interest. Click on Add to shortlist option from home page of e-book to add the particular title in personal bookshelf. To view all titles available in bookshelf, click on shortlist option from menu bar.
