Printer list dropdown not showing; Plugin not installed or not working Example: a. You have not authorized the Java plugin to run or you have not enabled the correct permissions. Click on Settings, scroll to the bottom and click the Show Advanced Settings link. 3. Click on Change proxy settings. 4. Click the Security tab > Trusted Sites icon, then click Sites. 5. Enter the URL of your Trusted Site, then click Add.

4 2. Receive error after print that says you can t use the printer a. You see a message similar to this Make sure the correct driver is being used and the name of the driver model matches the printer name. This is only for alternate browsers using Java. Not Internet Explorer. Note: When using a Zebra printer for example, the included drivers will be named Zdesigner when you install the printer. If you are using USB, see Appendix D from the Polybag Barcode Vendor Guide <last updated date>.docx for instructions on installing Seagull drivers over already installed drivers. Example: If the driver model name is Zebra ZM400 (203 dpi) then that is the same name your printer needs to have. Note: If you are using a LaserJet/non thermal printer you need to match the printer name of that printer with the name of the HP driver you install. Example: If you install the HP Universal PCL 6 driver the printer is going to be HP Universal PCL 6. Not receiving label print; error in print queue; error on the printer a. Error in the printer queue If you see an error in your printer queue it means either the communication with the printer is configured incorrectly or there is a disconnect somewhere between the PC and the printer. If you encounter this, contact your local IT support. Here are some general troubleshooting steps before you do that though:

5 Check the Ethernet cord connected to the printer to make sure that there isn t a loose wire. Check to see that the printer is powered on. Go into the printers configuration (look up the printers manual online if you can) and check the IP configuration matches with what you have configured in the printer queue. b. If you do not see an error in your print queue, you receive a Label successfully printed! message, and you still are not getting print outs, there is most likely a problem on the physical printing device and I would recommend contacting your local IT to troubleshoot the issue.
