5 1 The Base Concepts 1.1 Accessing the site To access the site you will require the following: - A Web browser : Internet Explorer or other - The Web Address - Your Username - Your Password To Access the site Now that you have everything you need, you can begin to access the site. Open your Browser. 8 2 The «Dashboard» section The Dashboard is the welcome page and it contains short cuts as well as a summary of information. Short cuts 2.1 Quick link display. Allows for navigation via shortcuts. 10 3.3 «Vehicles» panel Allows for viewing the characteristics and state of the vehicles, and to make modifications Displaying additional vehicles. Allows for control over how many vehicles are displayed. Click on the arrow on the right of hand corner of the vehicle panel. Select the number of vehicles that are to be displayed per page Page navigation Allows for switching between pages if the display has more than one page. To select one page in particular: click on the number of the page. To navigate to a previous page : click on the arrow on the left in the upper left To navigate back to the first page (if the page number is not visible) : click on First on the left of the pages Page 10 of 42

12 3.3.3 Modifying vehicle information Allows for vehicle information to be changed. click on the option on the right side of the vehicle description. A window like the one below will appear : Make the changes you like. Click on the button window will appear. to save the changes. 13 With the appropriate vehicle or vehicles highlighted like so click on the button and the location where the vehicle is located will appear on the pop-up window Map. Page 13 of 42

14 3.3.5 Acquiring device information Allows for collecting data on the device. Click on the unit when selected the vehicle becomes highlighted in orange. Click on the button and the information will append itself in the summary field. The device information can then be viewed later by clicking the button, Enable, Warn, Disable Allows for changing the status of the vehicle. By clicking on the button the vehicle returns to the original active state. It also turns off the following statuses. By clicking on the button when the starter is engaged. the device will emit a 30 second tone By clicking on the button the starter will be deactivated, the next time the user attempts to start the vehicle it will not work Opening and closing the «Search» tab Allows the displaying or hiding of the search bar Click on the little triangle or in the upper right hand corner of the tab. This will open or close the search bar Performing a vehicle search Allows for searching of one or more vehicles based on certain criteria. Open the Search tab if it is not already done. 15 Enter the necessary criteria for the search. Click on the button, all the vehicles that correspond to the search will be displayed in the Results tab. To use a different method of searching use the button and the following search criteria will be displaye To return to the original search criteria hit the button Performing a new search Allows for erasing all information and search results and starting over. Click on the button, all the information will be erased and the search reults will be reset. 3.4 «Map» window Allows for viewing the location of vehicles Mapping engine Allows for viewing maps Page 15 of 42

16 The mapping engine works within the web application The map option allows for zooming in and out. The address information appears at the bottom. In order to zoom in or out use the bar at the right hand side of the map window. The bar has both a button and a button to zoom in and out. Using the scroll wheel on the mouse the map can be zoomed in or out. At the top of the window the option to print the map is available by clicking the button. By clicking and dragging the map can be moved around Changing the map viewing modes Allows for viewing maps in different fashions Page 16 of 42

19 Click on the button when it is available to see a birds eye view of the map your viewing which will appear like so: By using the following buttons the angle of the birds eye view can be changed. 20 It is important to note that it is only possible to view one vehicle at a time with this option; in the event that multiple vehicles are selected the following error screen will appear Pulling up a map Allows for viewing maps of previous locate commands issued to one unit. Select the vehicle that you wish to view the map for. Click on the button to pull up the pop up window. 3.5 «Fleet & group» tab Allows for grouping of vehicles Creating a new vehicle group Allows for vehicle grouping process. Vehicle group list tab Page 20 of 42

21 Click on the button in the top right corner of the tab to open the new vehicle group window. Select the vehicles you wish to be part of the group by selecting them using the button, you may select multiple units like this. Hit the button to add them to the Current Selection area. To remove unwanted vehicles from this list select them by clicking on the button then click the button. Page 21 of 42

22 Enter the name of the group then hit the button on the pop-up window Deleting a vehicle group Allows for removal of a group. Click the button on the right hand side of the created group. Confirm deletion by clicking the button Changing the name of the vehicle group Allows for editing of group name. Click on the button on the right hand side of the created group to make adjustments to the group name or vehicles in the group. 3.6 «Scheduler» tab Allows for enacting commands at a set time and date. 23 3.6.1 Creating a new schedule Allows for schedule editing and activation. Click on the button on the top right hand of the tab to open the schedule creation form. Enter the information you wish in the fields provided. Select which type of command you wish the schedule to perform, by clicking on the appropriate selection from the command types list. Choose the frequency and the time zone in which you would like the command to be executed. The schedule date will automatically adjust to accommodate your selected frequency. Where you can select the date and time. Do this by clicking on the arrows on the right hand side of the fields. 25 Select the vehicles you wish to be part of the schedule by selecting them using the button, you may select multiple units like this. Hit the button to add them to the Current Selection area. 26 3.6.2 Deleting a schedule Allows for removal of a schedule. Click the button on the right hand side of the created schedule. Confirm deletion by clicking the button Changing the name and amount of vehicles in a schedule Allows for editing of schedule name. Click on the button on the right hand side of the created schedule to make adjustments to the schedule. It is also possible to directly change the amount of vehicles by clicking on the vehicle number itself, like so Pausing an active schedule Allows for stopping a schedule that is not completed. 28 4 «History» tab Allows for viewing the history of commands. Commands history list 4.1 Displaying additional section. Allows for control over how many vehicles are displayed. Click on the arrow on the right of hand corner of the vehicle tab. Select the number of vehicles that are to be displayed per page. 4.2 Page navigation Allows for switching between pages if the display has more than one page. To select one page in particular: click on the number of the page. To navigate to a previous page : click on the arrow on the left in the upper left Page 28 of 42

Open the Search tab if it is not already done. Enter the necessary criteria for the search. Click on the button, all the vehicles that correspond to the search will be displayed in the Results tab. 4.5 Performing a new search Allows for erasing all information and search results and starting over. 30 Click on the button, all the information will be erased and the search reults will be reset. 4.6 Sorting the list of commands Allows for sorting the list by specific fields. Click on the heading of the following columns to sort. The columns are sorted either numerically or alphabetically. The commands are sorted by date by default. To return to the default and view the history of commands click on the button to sort again by date until the commands are in chronological order. 4.7 Accessing the vehicle summary Allows access to summary of a particular device/vehicle. Click on the description of the vehicle you wish to view. 4.8 Accessing the location list Allows access to history of locations for one particular command. Click on the command. button to view the position returned by this particular 4.9 Detailed command information Allows access to information on a particular command. Click on the button to view the information on a command that was given to a device. Page 30 of 42

32 5 «Summary, Location, commands» pop-up window Allows access to history and information of a particular device/vehicle. Tabs Device information 5.1 Modifying vehicle information Allows for vehicle information to be changed. Make the changes you like. Click on the button window will appear. Click on the button to save the changes. A confirmation to close the window. 5.2 Viewing location history Allows for acquiring the complete history of a particular device. Page 32 of 42

To acquire a map from a particular date click on the map button on the particular date the locate command was enacted. 5.3 Viewing commands history Allows for viewing a complete history of a device. 36 6 «Activation» tab Allows for device management. 6.1 «Activation» tab Allows for activation of devices. Enter the first 8 digits of the serial number located on the device to activate. Click on the button to activate the device entered. Follow the instructions and hit the button. Page 36 of 42

37 7 «Account» tab Allows for account management. 7.1 «Company Info» tab Allows for account management Modifying information on the company Allows for editing the company information. Enter the appropriate information in the fields and click the button to update. Page 37 of 42

38 7.2 «User Profile» tab Allows for user management Modifying information for the user. Allows for editing the user information. Enter the appropriate information in the fields and click the button to update Changing the user password. Allows for input of new password. Enter the old password in the field provided. Then enter the new password desired and confirm it in the appropriate fields then click the button to update. Page 38 of 42

39 «User management» tab Allows for adding new users Creating a new user. Allows for adding users to the account. Click on the following screen will appear. button in the top right hand corner. The Enter the new user s information. Enter the new users Username and password that you have selected. Password must be 8 characters long. Click on the button to create the new user. Page 39 of 42

40 7.2.4 Managing users. Allows for management of the users. 41 Click on the button to create the new user. 7.3 «Buying credits» tab Allows for purchasing of credits Purchasing credits Allows for acquiring additional credits. Enter the appropriate information for the credit cardholder in the fields provided. The cost of credits purchased through the website is 25 US dollars for twenty five credits. Page 41 of 42

42 Click on the button once all the information is entered correctly. The following screen will appear. Click on the button to confirm the transaction. The credits will be updated automatically in the top right hand corner of the page like so Page 42 of 42
