1 Strata CIX Product Bulletin PB-0171 April 4, 2013 Toshiba ACD with Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows 7 64bit Operating System Toshiba has completed the testing to run the Toshiba ACD application on Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 server and the 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems. All the options including Call Router, Unifier, and Web Callback/Chat are supported. Please note that this system applies to the dongle based system only. Toshiba ACD on Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows 7 64 bit Operating System Toshiba offers the Media Applications Server (MAS) and/or MicroMAS as the turn key solution for the ACD system. In addition, for those customers who would like to use their own server platform, Toshiba has been supporting the license dongle to enable Toshiba ACD application on such servers. In the latest release of Net Server, Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 server and Windows 7 64 bit operating system is supported in addition to the current Windows 2000 and Windows XP support. Please note that Toshiba ACD on Windows 2008 R2 server or Windows 7 64 bit operating system requires Dialogic voice card for the Voice Assistant port and cannot be used for IPedge system. Please use MAS or MicroMAS-H for the IPedge system. MIS Software Insight software is not compatible with Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 server or Windows 7 64 bit operating system. In order to run Insight, please prepare Windows 2000 or Windows XP PC. 2 Hardware Requirements Hardware Requirements General requirements are same as Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2 requirements from Microsoft. The following shows the minimum configuration based on Microsoft recommendations. 1.4GHz or better CPU (64 bit architecture) 2GB or more memory 40GB or greater hard drive DVD drive Software Requirements In order to support Windows 2008 R2 server, the latest software is required. The following list shows the version of all the necessary software that is posted on the Toshiba FYI site. Net Server v or higher ACD or higher Voice Assistant V or higher Unifier V128 for CIX and V128 for IPedge or higher if Network ACD is required Web Callback V or higher if required Dialogic System Release 6.0 PCI Windows SU258 or higher Licenses and Pricing All the license parts remain the same. Customers who wish to upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 server can use the existing dongle and license on the new system. Technical Support Toshiba provides dealers with the technical support for the configuration of the Strata ACD system and Web callback admin. Technical assistance for the web integration with or without using the Toshiba widget requires separate technical support services which is provided on a time and material basis. 3 Setting up Toshiba ACD System for Windows 2008 Server R2 or Windows 7 64 bit operating system In order to run Toshiba ACD system, automatic login must be activated on the system. During the installation of Net Server, the following screen is automatically displayed for auto login configuration. Please follow the steps below to configure the auto-login. 1. Click the Advanced tab and uncheck "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete." If it is grayed out, please consult customer's IS department to enable it. 4 2. Click on the Users tab. Uncheck the Users must enter a user name... box. then, click the OK button. 3. When the Log On window displays (shown below), enter the user name and password to be used for the auto-login, then click OK.
