Customers Impacted: This defect affects all users who use Cobra with a SQL database. Workaround Before Fix: Add a description to the source file. Explorer View Explorer View Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you viewed the subprojects of a master project in Explorer view, Cobra took more than a few seconds to display the subprojects. 2 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 2 of 18 File Integration winsight Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the winsight wizard, Cobra no longer included the <ElemSeq> (Element Sequence) number in the winsight XML file. Integration Wizard - Project Data Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When the Use Open Plan project security option in the EPM Security Administrator was disabled, and you ran the integration on Open Plan (OP) projects that you did not have access rights, the integration process failed. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Integration wizard to integrate status, Cobra used schedule dates for forecast dates even though you selected Early Dates in the Update status using field on the Status page. Customers Impacted: This defect affects users who integrate status from Open Plan, Microsoft Project, or Transaction files into Cobra.

Cobra.WinUI.exe Cobra.WinUI.*.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Integration wizard against a scheduling tool that shared the Cobra database and selected the Cobra database option in the Connection Properties field, Cobra would create a new database connection but would not close it correctly after the integration process had completed. Customers Impacted: This defect affects all users who use Cobra with an Oracle database. Workaround Before Fix: Exit Cobra to remove all inactive connections. Restore Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you restored a project and changed the project name to an existing filename, Cobra created duplicate WST_DIR records of the fiscal calendar. Workaround Before Fix: When you perform the restore, select the project and the calendar.

4 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 4 of 18 Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When restoring a project, Cobra incorrectly replaced negative log adjustments made using the Project Audit Wizard with positive log adjustments. Workaround Before Fix: See Additional Notes. Additional Notes: Identify the incorrect log entries in the BASELOG table and use the following SQL statement to replace the entries with the correct value: UPDATE BASELOG SET AMOUNT = (-1 * AMOUNT) WHERE PROGRAM = 'yourproject' AND REFNO = num AND DEBIT = 'DD' AND CREDIT = 'CC' AND AMOUNT = value; where yourproject is the name of your project num is the value of the REFNO column DD is the value of the DEBIT column on the invalid record CC is the value of the CREDIT column on the invalid record value is the value in the AMOUNT column on the invalid record Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you logged onto Cobra as a non-sysadmin user and restored a project backup file, and renamed it using an existing project name, Cobra displayed the following message: "Insufficient read rights in the backup to restore the project [New name of the project]".

5 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 5 of 18 Cobra.WinUI.Processes.dll Framework Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: The restore process did not update the BASELOG.STATUSDATE column correctly when null dates were found in the BASELOG table. Additional Notes: The restore process will only populate the BASELOG.STATUSDATE column if values are NULL. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you restored a project with non-existing results or launched the Apportionment Calculation wizard, Cobra created a database connection that was not always closed. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: The restore, conversion, and database scripts did not update the STATUSDATE column in the BASELOG table correctly and consistently. Additional Notes: The restore, conversion, and database scripts will only populate the BASELOG.STATUSDATE column if the values are NULL. When you set the BASELOG.STATUSDATE values to NULL before running the update scripts, or when you set the values to NULL, back up and then

UpdateBaselogStatudate_Oracle.sql Project Processes Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you logged onto Cobra as a non-sysadmin user and ran the Validity Check, Recalc, Replan, or Respread process, the wizard took more than a few seconds to load and display the green check mark on the Process Complete page. Additional Notes: This issue occurs when you have many projects in Cobra. Cobra.WinUI.Process.dll Advance Calendar Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Advance Calendar wizard and selected the Skip rolling wave processing option on the Options page, baseline entries were added even though the period was not an end of month date. In addition, if the rolling wave calendar for the project was set to NULL, the advance calendar process did not add entries to the BASELINE table. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Advance Calendar API process, Cobra would always calculate the Estimate

7 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 7 of 18 At Complete (EAC) values. Cobra did not provide an option to skip this action. Additional Notes: When you click Finish in the Advance Calendar wizard, Cobra prompts you to choose whether to update the Estimate At Complete (EAC) values or not if the Scale retain EAC field of the project is not set to None. The Advance Calendar API process now supports the UpdateEAC setting. This setting determines whether Cobra will update the Estimate At Complete (EAC) values for the project. If value is set to 1, Cobra updates the EAC values for the project. This setting is optional and the default value is 0. If the Scale retain EAC setting of the project is set to None, this setting will have no effect. Cobra will always update the EAC values. Cobra.WinUI.Processes.dll Cobra.Api.exe Calculate Forecast Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you updated the Estimate To Complete (ETC) value of a resource assignment with the Manual Forecast (Retain EAC) forecast method, Cobra would reduce the ETC value on that resource assignment by its total actual cost the next time you ran the Calculate Forecast process. Additional Notes: If the project had the Scale retain EAC option set to Currency and this defect caused the ETC for all resource assignments on a work package to be reduced to zero, then Cobra would also set the Estimate At Complete (EAC) value for the work package to its total actual cost. Cobra.WinUI.Projects.dll Project Audit Deltek Defect Tracking Number:

8 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 8 of 18 Description: When you updated the Total Currency value of a time-phased resource and selected the Use spread curve: Linear option on the Spread Changes Over dialog box, the Log Change Comment dialog box did not display. In addition, the CurrencyTotal value did not get the updated value when change in total currency was computed. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you used the Project Audit wizard to apply a negotiated change to Undistributed Budget (UB) value or Management Reserve (MR) value, and drew some of the changes from Authorized Unpriced Work (AUW) value, Cobra would overstate the negotiated change total in the log. Cobra.WinUI.Processes.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: The Over Target Baseline (OTB) amount was added incorrectly to the Negotiated Cost (NC) and Contract Budget Base (CBB) values on the Log Transaction page of the Project Audit wizard. If you applied a change to the log using the Project Audit Wizard for a project with an OTB amount, the project header would be updated to the incorrect NC and CBB values. Workaround Before Fix: See Additional Notes. Additional Notes: 1. This defect does not affect the Audit Log report. 2. There is no workaround for this issue. However, you can update the project header with the correct values by performing the following steps: a. Open the Project Audit wizard.

Select the Adjust the log and the Transaction Change of new unpriced work, negotiated changes, or allocated Management Reserve options on the Log Operation page. Cobra displays the Audit Log Comparison page that shows the incorrect values for the CTC and CBB accounts. c. Click Next to update the project header in order to agree with the log. d. Click Cancel. You do not need to make any further changes to the log. Cobra.WinUI.Processes.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you saved a resource assignment that generated an audit log transaction, Cobra occasionally displayed an error message instead of the Log Comment dialog box and then terminated. Additional Notes: This defect only affects projects with the audit log feature enabled. Cobra displays the following error message: "Unhandled Exception: This row has been removed from a table and does not have any data. BeginEdit() will allow creation of new data in this row". Cobra.WinUI.Common.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: Cobra did not create the correct transaction log entries in the following scenarios: When you deleted or reduced the amount on an existing budget resource assignment, Cobra created a log transaction record with a negative value. The amount should always be a positive number. When you added a budget resource assignment, saved it, and then altered the amount, Cobra created a log transaction record for the original amount and not for the change in value since it was added. Additional Notes: This defect only affects projects with audit logging enabled.

Replan Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Replan Wizard and selected the Replan by adding an adjusting entry in the current period option on the Options page, Cobra created orphaned records. Projects Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you viewed master projects using the Project Lookup dialog box, Cobra took more than a few seconds to display the master projects.

12 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 12 of 18 Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you selected the Spread changes over remaining fiscal periods option to reduce a spread in the Time Phase grid on the Resource Assignments tab of the Project view, Cobra would not reduce the value in any period below zero. Workaround Before Fix: Manually enter the desired spread across the remaining periods. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you changed the TOTAL column in the Time Phase grid on the Resource Assignment tab of the Project view from 0 to another value and selected either the Remaining fiscal periods, or the Use existing spread curve option on the Spread dialog box to spread the values, Cobra did not update the time-phased values. Workaround Before Fix: Enter the time-phased values manually or select the Use spread curve option. Cobra.WinUI.Projects.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number:

13 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 13 of 18 Description: When you viewed a budget resource assignment that did not contain a time-phased record for any period between the work package baseline dates, Cobra enabled the Save button in the Project view before you made any changes. Cobra.WinUI.Projects.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you created or edited a budget resource assignment with a net change amount of 0, Cobra displayed an error message after you saved your changes. Additional Notes: This defect only affects projects with the audit log feature enabled. Cobra displays the following error message: "ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL". Reports Reports Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran a report using a shared filter and there was more one than filter shared to you with that same name, Cobra encountered the Message: Variable VPCFILTER is not found error.

14 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 14 of 18 Tools Update Totals Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: If you defined the ForceProcessLocking setting in the cobra.process.cfg file, Cobra would only use the setting when calling the Update Totals process from the Tools menu. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Update Totals process with Control Account lock setting and you reached the maximum number of retries to lock the Control Account, Cobra did not display a message in the log. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Update Totals process, Cobra created a process lock.

15 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 15 of 18 Cobra.WinUI.*.dll Cobra.WinUI.exe Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Update Totals process or any process which called the Update Totals process on a large master project, the process ran slowly. Customers Impacted: This defect affects all users who use Cobra with an Oracle database. Validity Check Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Validity Check wizard, Cobra displayed the following message as an Error instead of a Warning: "[Error]"Budget class XX is included in totals and is not an included budget class in the Earned class Earned". Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran Validity Check on a project with unsaved changes and that was opened in the Project view, the unsaved changes were lost. Workaround Before Fix: Save the project in the Project view first before you run validity check.

16 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 16 of 18 Cobra.WinUI.Processes.dll Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Validity Check wizard and selected the Adjust Work Package dates to span resource assignment dates option on the Business Validations page, Cobra encountered the "Outof-memory" error. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Validity Check wizard and selected the Control Account dates exactly span Work Package dates option on the Business Validations page, Cobra would not adjust the Control Account Actual or Forecast dates if they were outside of the Work Package and the Work Package dates had also been adjusted during the validity check. Workaround Before Fix: Run the validity check a second time. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Validity Check on a project with an apportionment definition which referred to a resource that did not exist, Cobra generated an error in the log with the following message: "Must specify additional parameters."

17 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 17 of 18 Workaround Before Fix: Do one of the following: Clear the Validate apportionment definitions option on the Project and Apportionment Validations page of the Validity Check wizard. Delete the apportionment records after identifying which records refer to resources that do not exist. See Additional Notes. Additional Notes: The following query will identify the records in the APPBE table which refer to a resource that does not exist: SELECT * FROM APPBE WHERE CALCFILE = 'xxx' AND CECODE > ' ' AND CECODE NOT IN ( SELECT DISTINCT CECODE FROM CALCDETL WHERE CALCFILE = 'xxx' ); Replace 'xxx' with the name of the resource file used by the project. Work with your DBA to delete the records identified by the above query as an alternative workaround. Deltek Defect Tracking Number: Description: When you ran the Validity Check wizard and selected the T-phase has invalid resource code or the Resource assignments have calculation defined option, or both on the Resource and Code Assignment Validations page, the process ran slowly. Customers Impacted: This defect affects all users who use Cobra with an Oracle database. More information about this release is on the following page.

18 Deltek Cobra Hot Fix Notes Page 18 of 18 Custom Programs Affected: Sometimes a hot fix can cause custom programs and reports to stop working as expected. Before applying this hot fix, consider whether you have any custom programs or reports in the application area affected by the hot fix. If so, contact Deltek support at before you install the hot fix. To Download the Hot Fix: 1. From Internet Explorer, go to 2. Click Run Deltek Software Manager. 3. Log in using your Deltek Customer Care Connect credentials. 4. In the left pane of the Deltek Software Manager, expand your Deltek product. 5. Expand the Hotfix folder for your product, and select the hot fix to download. 6. Click Download at the bottom of the screen. To Install the Hot Fix: Standard install instructions do not apply to this hot fix. Use the following procedure to install this hot fix. 1. Verify that Cobra is not running. 2. Unzip the downloaded file and copy the content to the Cobra 5.1 executable directory (for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\deltek\cobra 5). 3. Launch the Deltek Cobra shortcut to log into Cobra. To Check to See if the Hot Fix is Installed: 1. Click Cobra > Help > About Cobra > Version Information. 2. Check that the version number reflects the installation of the hot fix.
