3 Eaton-SHC Support new Generation Actuators Basic support of the new Generation Switching Actuators. The second Generation xcomfort Switching Actuator, CSAU-01/01-1xIE, includes a Local Input and an internal Energy Measurement Sensor. This device represents the following functional devices in the Smart Home Controller: Switching Actuator, Binary Input, Energy Meter and Power Meter. ONVIF Camera support Two ONVIF Camera drivers are included based on the ONVIF Core specification version Notice: Verify first if the camera is ONVIF compliant, ONVIF is enable in the camera setting and the camera has installed the latest firmware. Find additional information in the Eaton ONVIF Support Instructions or visit directly: Extended Energy control in Macro function based on Power Balance The Virtual Balance Meter represents the balance between Production and Consumption Meters in Zones. To use a Virtual Balance Meter an Energy Production Meter(s) and Energy Consumption Meter(s) needs to be present. The Virtual Balance Meter will become available automatically. Macro can trigger on positive and negative values of this Meter. Order and permissions of Zones and Functions per User customizable Configurable, per User via the User administration in the Web Admin Console, the: Order of Zones, Disable unused Zones, Order of Functions, Disable unused Functions. Sensor Device status translations and customization The status of Binary Sensor Devices are available in the supported languages. Additional custom status values can be configured via the Web Admin Console in System -> Devices. Improved Room Manager support Full support of the Room Manager Binary/Analog Inputs and Outputs (Depending on MRF configuration). Available as default Actuators and Inputs in Status & Control, Scene and Macro Functions. Improved Binary Input mode support Improved Binary Input status support depending on Mode setting Improved Battery level warnings Improved battery level interpretation of battery powered Devices to prevent low battery warnings too early. Extended support device groups Multiple groups containing the same devices is supported. Help information unclear Correct example of the Address is provided in the Mail Help file. Additional make/break contact configuration for Binary Inputs The Make/Break function can be configured for each Binary Input type selected. Forced SHC Software Update button removed In the Web Admin Console Firmware Tab the Forced Update button is no longer available in case of new software updates. Page 3 of 6

4 No devices available after Import Data Points Solved the issue that the total number of device entries in the Data Point list, including the number of devices in groups, could not exceed 127 entries. Climate Function: Main Heating/Cooling Actuator control In a specific situation it could be possible that the Main Heating/Cooling Actuator is not switched On by the Climate Function. The control of these Actuators is improved including the cyclic updates in case the Protection Timer is set. RF Module firmware version 1.10 Version 1.10 of the RF Module firmware will be available after the update to this Smart Home Controller release. Find the RF module firmware update in the Web Admin Console: System -> Firmware. Eaton-SHC Minor Translation changes Small changes in translations. Devices in Diagnostics status screen Solved the issue that sometimes no devices are shown in the Diagnostics status screen. Improved support Extended with Thawte SSL certificate support (Also used by GMX). Support dots "." in sender name. Eaton-SHC System validation improvements In certain situations the Smart Home Controller system validation process could decide to restart the system unnecessarily. The system validation process is improved. Eaton-SHC Web App browser tab name The browser tab name shows now the default Web App name. Status and Control: Web App history graphics The history graphics for Energy Sensors is now shown as bar chart in the Status and Control Function. Camera Function: Web App shows sometimes a black camera image after refresh The camera image refresh function is now updating the camera image correctly. Camera Function: Web App showing actual image After starting the Camera Function start directly with the actual camera image. Remote Server disconnect and reconnect behavior In certain networks the Remote Server connection could be lost for a short or longer period. The Smart Home Controller connection functionality with the Remote Eaton server is improved. The network connection LED on the Smart Home Controller shows now the correct connection status. 5 The diagnostics log and record files lost during update The diagnostics log files and the diagnostics record files of the previous release will remain available after an update. Remark: After an update the diagnostic record must be configured again. Web Admin Console locked during configuration activities During reading of the data points, activation of the device configuration, activation of the system, update and roll back the web admin page is locked for any other admin activities. After the actions are completed the page is unlocked. System reboot after Configuration restore The Configuration restore has been improved. No reboot of the system is needed after configuration restore. Also the ECI configuration restore is improved. Special characters in license information Solved issue with not correctly displaying some (special) characters in the license information. Diagnostic recording Diagnostic recording option (none) is added to disable recordings. Possible wrong timestamp in diagnostics logging In the Diagnostics log files now always the correct month is shown in the timestamp for each log item. Smart Home Controller replacement Smart Home Controller replacement is supported. Configuration of one Smart Home Controller can be restored on another device (different device ID). This can be used when replacement of the SHC is necessary. The activation status of the new device will not be overwritten. Configured Time Zone not restored after an update Time Zone changes will be saved correctly and remain available after an update or configuration restore. Improved Terms and Conditions popup screen The Terms and Conditions Accept and Decline buttons are translated and also no longer visible during the activation process when the accept button has been pressed. Supported Time Zones The following Time Zones are added: Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Ukraine, Ireland (5 major cities) and Hungary (8 major cities). Countries and Cities are listed in alphabetic order. Time Zone City not always saved after changing the country After selecting another country the first showed city will also be saved in case the city selection is unchanged. Eaton-SHC Macro Function: Sunrise/Sunset offset calculation in Time Period Condition The used offset (minutes) set with a Sunrise/Sunsrise selection in a Time Period Condition gives the correct condition at the beginning and the end of the day. 6 Removing first Zone It is possible to delete the first Zone and when a Zone is removed the correct name of the Zone is given in the confirmation popup. CBMA-02/01 channel B support Channel B of the Motion Sensor CBMA-02/01 is supported. Page 6 of 6
