All rights are reserved. 3 System requirements 3.1 Hardware system requirements In general, the hardware used should be up-to-date, commercial computer hardware. We recommend the following hardware specifications: CPU: at least Intel Q GHz (Dual/Quadcore) RAM: at least 2 GB DDR2-400 PC Hard drive: at least 60 GB SATA2 Network: 100 Mbit/s Image: 3D-capable graphic card with DirectX 9.0 support and at least 512 MB internal graphic memory (shared memory is not recommended) 3

4 3.2 Operating systems The following operating systems are supported: Windows Vista Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows 8 Windows Server 2012 Windows 10 4 QuickHMI Overview of Functions Resource-saving server-client architecture Will run on 32- or 64-bit systems External history server (file system, Oracle or MS SQL database) for customer-side access to the data outside the QuickHMI system External alarm server (file system, Oracle or MS SQL database) for customer-side access to the data outside the QuickHMI system Command interface (file system, Oracle-or MS SQL database) for writing into the QHMI system from outside; upon request with encryption Graphics operations such as animation, zoom, etc. are performed within the GPU or graphics card, and lighten the load on the computer s CPU Free WYSIWYG editor Free player software for clients Central configuration tool for setting run-time environment parameters On-the-fly switching between draft and run-time mode User management Translation text parameters can be set Integrated alarm reporting system Central activation management Central rules management Fold-down or pinable header and footer lines 4

6 6 Step 2 Configure the project file on the system s server Set up the project file created in the editor on the system's server. This is done using the QuickHMI Runtime Manager.
