3 1. IXM WEB v is pleased to announce the release of IXM WEB version This version is also an upgrade for IXM MYCRO, IXM SENSE, IXM TOUCH and IXM MERGE and supersedes any previously released versions. 5 1.3 Enrollment Guidelines IXM WEB version onwards, if the Biometric Quality and/or Image Quality is low during enrollment then IXM WEB will display a warning message to the end user. If the user continues the enrollment process with a low quality finger, then IXM WEB will display a second enrollment warning message. 4

6 Upon clicking I Agree, the end user is accepting enrollment with a poor-quality fingerprint. In such cases, recommends re-enrolling to prevent False Acceptance or Rejection. During Enrollment, colour coded stars will depict the enrolled fingerprint quality to the end user. The colour chart is as follows: Colour Red Orange/Yellow Green Fingerprint Quality Low Acceptable Good For more information, refer to the following best enrollment practices which will help users to enroll a HIGH-quality fingerprint. 5

7 1.4 Resolved Defects No. 1 Description Access Granted & Access Denied message default timeout value corrected to 3 seconds from 8 seconds. 2 Function Key report was previously not sorted according to Transaction time. It will now display all Fkeys according to the time when they were logged into Transaction Logs. 3 Earlier, users had to select at least one day as weekend during Report Configuration. In the updated release, users can save Report Configuration without selecting any specific day as Weekend. 1.5 Known Issues No. Description Comments Upgrading the firmware on IXM TOUCH generates operation timeout when using RS-232 console. Installer does not support Home editions. Using Push Notification with localhost or ( ) in URL. Installer may not be able to restart Windows Server 2003 while installing IXM WEB. recommends firmware upgrade via USB Aux port or Ethernet for IXM TOUCH devices. IXM WEB does not support installation on Basic, Home and Starter edition of the Windows Operating Systems, refer the installation guide before installing the product. If you are using IXM WEB with localhost or ( ) in browser URL, you have to manually update the Push Notification URL in CONFIG tile >> Communication App with the actual host name or IP of the IXM WEB server as Push Notifications will not work with localhost (or ) in the Push Notification URL. If the Windows Server 2003 does not restart after clicking Restart in Installer, Administrator should restart the server manually. 6

8 5 6 7 Installation fails on Windows 8 and 8.1 if the network sharing service is turned off. In fresh Windows 2003 (32/64 bit) Operating System, user will require Windows Imaging Component otherwise.net framework installation will fail. Backup and Restore feature should not be used across different device types. recommends enabling the network sharing service before installing IXM WEB. In a fresh Operating system in case of Windows Server 2003 (32/64 bit) user first needs to install wic_x86_enu.exe (for 32 bit) wic_x64_enu.exe (for 64 bit). Only then IXM WEB can be successfully installed. recommends that the same device type be used for backup and restore. Otherwise it might impact the performance of User Records or Transaction Log capacity Google Chrome browser has stopped supporting additional plug-ins. Windows 10 Professional edition is having issues with SQL Server 2008 Express edition. SQL Server Service does not start at times. When device list report is part of auto and if any device is offline at the scheduled time, then that report is not generated and consequently auto is not sent. Since 01-SEP-2015, Google Chrome has stopped supporting Silverlight and other additional plug-ins. INVIXUM recommends using Internet Explorer or Firefox while using Finger Capture Devices. This is a known Microsoft issue. Windows 10 Pro edition conflicts with SQL Server 2008 Express edition when any update arrives or during any abnormal shutdown. SQL Server service may stop. recommends restarting SQL Service. This issue occurs on rare occasions. recommends troubleshooting the device to return to ONLINE status. 11 Fingerprint Capture Device installation is not removed while uninstalling IXM WEB. recommends uninstalling the Fingerprint Capture Device separately. 7

9 12 IXM WEB generates error during installation in Windows Server 2008 R2 Operating System. During installation, IXM WEB creates.msi files for IXM WEB, IXM Device Discovery Service, IXM WEB Service and Bonjour service. These.msi files need to execute individually in the following order: o Bonjour.msi o IXMWeb.ms o IXMDeviceDiscovery.msi o IXMWebService.msi 13 Unable to configure database in case of SQL Server 2014 with Authentication Mode as Windows. recommends using the SQL Server option as Authentication mode while configuring IXM WEB database, if SQL Server 2014 is used as backend. 14 Two different instances created while upgrading IXM WEB from previous version to Once IXM WEB version is installed, uninstall older version of IXM WEB from the Control Panel. 15 Mozilla Firefox browser has stopped supporting Silverlight and other plug-ins From Firefox version 51.0 onwards, support of Silverlight and other plug-ins has stopped.
