7 PROGRAMMING INTERFACE You can access your programs, data files, and libraries. When you run a program or task, SAS Studio connects to a SAS server in order to process the generated SAS code. The SAS server can be a hosted server in a cloud environment, or it can be a server in your local environment. After the code is processed, the program and task results are returned to SAS Studio.

13 TASKS OVERVIEW Tasks are point and click user interfaces which guide users through an analytical or other process. Behind the scenes, SAS code is generated.

14 TASKS AUTHORING SAS Studio provides a flexible task framework where both internal and external customers can create tasks. SAS R&D groups can add tasks. Customers and consultants can easily create their own tasks without java coding or action-script coding. Customers and consultants can copy delivered tasks and modify them.

16 DELIVERY HOW YOU GET Single-User Basic Enterprise

17 SINGLE-USER With Base SAS on Microsoft Windows, you access SAS Studio through your local web browser on the same machine as SAS is installed.

18 BASIC If you have SAS installed on a server, SAS Studio provides basic multi-user access to submit SAS code to that server. Access SAS Studio from your browser (on any machine) by pointing to the server where SAS is running. You must have credentials to log into the SAS server. The content (files, data) you are allowed to access depends on the authority granted to you on the SAS server being accessed.

19 ENTERPRISE If you have licensed Integration Technologies, you have full enterprise access to SAS Studio, which includes: security & access control provided via SAS Metadata Server, monitoring & management of SAS servers and SAS middle tier, auditing and governance, etc.
