2 Summary On July 18, 2017, Cvent releases enhancements to Smart Events Cloud. This release includes the following key new features and improvements: New Analytics for Connect: Planners can now track the activity they receive through Connect with Google Analytics. Update Remove 1 After Guest on Payment Page: Attendees can now see that they may only purchase one guest pass. Update Enhanced Search Feature in Connect: Attendees can now use a more intuitive search bar in Connect. Update Cancellations Respect Discount Quantity: Planners can more accurately account for discounts and registration codes. Update Exhibitor Sort by Company in Connect: Planners can now choose how attendees sort exhibitors in Connect. New Autosave: Planners can now save time when Smart Events Cloud saves their form data. 3 New Features and Improvements Analytics for Connect Remove 1 After Guest on Payment Page Enhanced Search Feature in Connect Cancellations Respect Discount Quantity Exhibitor Sort by Company in Connect Autosave Large Form Question Loading Analytics for Connect Planners can now monitor website activity their events receive from Connect. They can enter their Google Analytics script to see how traffic is getting to their Connect site. With this update, planners can increase their websites effectiveness using google analytics and business intelligence (BI). Adding Google Analytics to Connect 1. In Smart Events Cloud, click Manage > Settings > Initial Setup > Event Analytics. 2. Enter the URL that you obtain from google analytics. 3. Click Update at the bottom of the page. 4 Putting a Package into a Guest Package Group 1. In Smart Events Cloud, click Promote > Registration Setup > Packages > Registration Packages. 2. Click the Guest Package. 3. 5 No Number After Guest Packages Enhanced Search Feature in Connect Attendees can now search Connect s catalog with a more functional, simplified UI. To search for an exact phrase, attendees can place quotes around the phrase. Attendees can remove the quotes to search for any word in the phrase in any order. With this update, attendees can search Connect s catalog with a more intuitive search bar. Exact Match Check Box Removed Cancellations Respect Discount Quantity To help planners accurately track their revenue, we have updated our registration codes and discounts to correctly account for cancellations when planners create more registration codes than discounts Cvent, Inc. 6 Exhibitor Sort by Company in Connect To make exhibitors more searchable for attendees, planners can now choose to display exhibitors by their Type, Company, or Relevance in Connect. With this update, planners can organize exhibitors in a way that makes sense to attendees. Changing Sorting for Exhibitors in Connect 1. In Smart Events Cloud, click Promote > Connect > Preferences. 2. In the Exhibitor Preferences section, click the drop-down next to Default Exhibitor Sort and choose Type, Company, or Relevance. Connect Preferences Autosave To help event planners save time and information, we have released Autosave. Autosave saves form fields for event and meeting requests. When planners create events, their sessions may time out if they are inactive for too long. To prevent planners from losing their information, the Autosave feature stores the data the planner entered and gives the planner the option to resume their session the next time they log in.
