1 AltiGen Communications Announces Software Version 5.2 Availability Highlights of the 5.2 Software Release: A maintenance release to 5.1 rolls up all software patches Enhanced Enterprise Manager functionality 3 rd party SIP station support Centralized Recording now available on ACC Decoupling of certain call center features from ACM Availability 5.2 is available immediately as a download from the dealer website CD s containing the installation software will begin shipping with MAX1000 & OFFICE systems on March 24 th, 2008 MAX1000 & OFFICE Systems will begin shipping with 5.2 pre installed on May 1 st, 2008 Service & Support Users must enroll in Software Assurance during the 5.2 registration process In order to ease the transition between 5.0A and 5.2, we will be extending support for 5.0A until June 1st, New Installations: o Include 1 year default factory (depot repair only) support on new hardware sales o Optional 1, 3 year Standard & Premier Service plans are available. Upgrades: o o Free for users currently enrolled in the Software Assurance program If the end user is not enrolled in the software assurance program, they may purchase a 5.2 upgrade at a 1 time upgrade fee (50% of AWRP). Please contact your AltiGen sales rep for additional information. NFR Systems: o Updated EXCTL files are available on for your in house demo & NFR systems. Pricing & Part Numbers All license part numbers have been updated to reflect the changes made in 5.2 >Enterprise Manager The biggest licensing change revolves around Enterprise Manager. It is now a chargeable product via a new Enterprise Manager license. Existing 5.1 users of Enterprise Manager will be automatically granted a 5.2 Enterprise Manager license during the upgrade process, however new software assurance fees may still apply. If you have a pending upgrade for a 5.0 or earlier customer planning to use Enterprise Manager please contact the AltiGen sales department for special licensing information. New users must license Enterprise Manager separately. Enterprise Manager licenses will be available through the dealer incentive program.

3 5.2 Enhancements Details PBX, Voice Mail, and Auto Attendant Enhancements Support 3 rd party SIP devices Allow certified 3 rd part SIP devices to register as an IP extension. For example, 3 rd party IP hone, IP conference phone, Wi Fi phone, and ATA adaptors. Note: License is required to enable this feature for an extension. Line Park Enhancement Separation of parked by system and parked by extension timeout treatment Add transfer to extension/wg to parked by system timeout option Add parked by extension timeout configuration. When timeout, the system will ring back to the extension who parks the call. Account Code Enhancement Allow AltiView/AltiAgent users to assign an account code to a call without putting the caller on hold. Auto Attendant Enhancement Play Extension Greeting option is added to VM Record Message action item. Multi Site (Enterprise Manager) New s: Global Extension Appearance This feature allows an extension user to see the following information for a Global Extension in the VoIP Domain. Line State Idle, Busy, Ring, Error Extension Status DND Activities (Presence) This information can be displayed on: AltiView/AltiAgent/AltiConsole (Requires Admin change) IP Phone Programmable Key (Can be configured from Admin or Phone) Global Intercom Users can now intercom / page across multiple systems
4 5.2 Enhancements Details Administration Remote Installation Support Two T1/E1 spans in MAX1000R 5.2 supports remote AltiWare installations via RDP (Remote Desktop). MAX1000R system can support two T1/E1 with the following DSP resource option: 48 G.711 Codec 12 Combo Codec (G.723/G.729) Up to 2 MeetMe Conference Bridges, Maximum 12 Members Up to 6 Station Conference Bridges, Maximum 24 Members Up to 2 Supervisor Silent Monitor/Barge in/coach sessions AltiReport Support MS SQL 2005 Server Security Enhancement MS SQL 2005 Server is supported in 5.2 AltiReport and External Logger. Policy based security configuration is added to AltiReport 5.2. Admin can assign workgroups to each user. Users can only then query the assigned workgroups and run agent reports belonging to those workgroups. VRManager Security Enhancement Admin can assign System ID, Workgroup, and Extensions to each user account. User can only query the assigned SysID/WG/Ext. when searching recorded files. SuperQ Enhancements Capacity Enhancement Performance Enhancement Enhanced Agents SuperQ 5.2 is optimized to support up to 10 queues. Each SuperQ can support up to 10 workgroups, local or remote. SuperQ 5.2 can process up to 3,000 calls per hour. Agent can now login to 10 SuperQ workgroups
