1 Drive Lesson The app is called Drive and is meant for users to keep track of all sessions learning to drive. Because of its purpose, it is tailored specifically for student drivers anywhere from age 16 and older, and contains a host of features including the ability to enter information in for a lesson, log all driving lessons recorded, track the number of hours logged on the road, input state road hour requirements, and view statistics on total hours broken down by the state road hour requirements. The app starts out on an Activity that serves as the launch screen and contains an ImageView with the icon and 2 TextView fields welcoming the user. Below this is a button that can be clicked to Enter the actual app.

2 The app opens on an Activity displaying the number of hours logged on the road so far as well as the Total Required Hours. These are all implemented using TextFields. Above this is a pie graph showing a visual representation of the number of hours completed out of the number of hours needed. Because we want this page as well as the Settings Activity to be prominent, we include icon buttons at the top left that direct us to these two pages (the home icon to this Activity and the wheel icon to the settings Activity). Clicking the menu icon on the top left and dragging in from the top left opens a Navigation Drawer Activity that overlays the previous screen as shown below.

4 This Activity is the same from the previous homework that we had, and contains two buttons to stop and start the tracking, two TextFields to record the date and hours, 2 radio buttons, and 2 spinners. The options for the lesson type spinner are residential, commercial, and highway. The options for the weather condition spinner are clear, raining, and snow/ice.

5 This app has three error handling methods on this Activity. First, if all the information is not properly entered, a toast pops up asking for it. Second, if this error does not occur, a dialog box pops up after Start is clicked to ensure that it is meant to be clicked.

6 Lastly, we have a dialog pop up after the Stop is pressed to make sure the Stop was meant to happen. Now we will explore the Lesson Log activity that can be accessed through the Navigation Drawer.

7 The Lesson Log Activity contains a list of TextFields containing the information about the lessons, along with icons that can be clicked to bring up a dialog containing the information listed for that particular lesson in a more readable format and an option to Edit it as shown in the screen below:

8 If Edit is pressed, a new Activity is brought up to perform this Edit. This Activity is the exact same as the Enter Lesson Activity from previously, except it contains only one button. Here we also have two error handling options as shown below:

First, a Toast pops up if any elements were changed to blank or invalid amounts. If this is bypassed, a dialog box pops up confirming that this change is to be made.

If Yes, is clicked, it returns you to the Lesson Log Activity. The next Activity to explore is the Settings Activity, which is also accessed from the Navigation Drawer. In this Activity, we have TextFields containing titles and 9 EditText fields allowing the user to enter the values mandated for his state. When the save button is pressed, we again first pop up a toast if any of the values are invalid and then pop up a confirmation dialog. These screens are shown below:

10 No matter what option is pressed on the dialog box, you still stay in the same Activity. The last activity is the Statistics Activity, which can also be accessed from the Navigation Drawer.

This final Activity contains TextFields describing the different conditions and progress bars showing how much of the hours that were entered in the Settings Activity have been covered by logged
