3 ZenitParts Pins Attribute It is now possible to insert the pin names, directly inside a grid, copy and paste, so as to avoid tedious, single manual inputs. Moreover, in "Pins Attribute" you can change other attributes as "electrical type" and "Inside & Outside Edge". Video: Pins Attribute 3

4 Part Library Attribute With part library, is possible to displays all the attributes of a library in spreadsheet format. This allows you, in a single environment, to change all the attributes you want, for example the cost, without having to open one by one each parts. You can filter your search, to display only the affected components. 4

5 Auto Open Part or Symbol On ZenitCapture, it is now possible to open directly on ZenitParts the selected symbol or part, to eventually modify it. Auto increase pin length (F8) It is now possible to increase the selected pin length by F8 key, without open pin property. I remember you, that it is possible to do the same thinks for Electrical Type (F9) and Type (F10). F8 F8 5

6 Symbol Library Description The symbol library now, has the possibility to insert a description, to better understand the library itself. Add Multi Overbar on Pin Name It is now possible to insert OverBar on the pin text name only on a specific position, by the wildcard character (!) 8 Part Not Verified When we are drawing a part of the circuit, often values of the components are indicative, and only later, adjusted to the correct value. This is true both for the value, which for the footprint. So it is helpful to know which parts are not yet defined, displaying them on the explorer bar, which allows you to jump from one component to another. This avoids unnecessary artifices on schematic workspace, to add shape like circles on the parts or add single text near the unverified part. Consider a schematic with 300 or more parts and you will understand that they are really hard to find. The program also warning you if you have not checked components, when you try to create reports or export netlist. With double click on the grid, you can zoom around the part not verified. 8

9 Software Info Now is possible to store software data info, inside the part (e.g. microprocessor). Of course, more lines are available, to store more software info. Software Data Report: List all software detail on the report. Really useful, because in a single document, you also have the software code and software-part matching. Obviously, the source code of the micro is not stored, inside part! Not Electrical Data Now you can specify whether the component is part of the assembly bom (pick & place), or a subsequent assembly, to complete the product (screws, housing, wiring, labels and so on) On Report: List all parts not electrical, that are mounted after PCBA assembly. You can see that on the description part there is the owner part (e.g. E1) 9

10 Change Part Value On the fly, is possible to change the part value, without open the part property. You have to fill the combo box whit a value e.g. 100K and than "Active change Part Value". Click on every part that you want to change. The combo box shows the latest values inserted. Every time you change sheet page this number change. Sheet Name Report the sheet name on workspace. Every time you change sheet page this text change. 10

11 Place Parts Form There are also new developments on the dialog box "Parts Place" Find Part on Libraries On Place Part form, you can find a specific part that match the filter criteria. Last Part Placed To speed up the placement of the parts, in the "Place Parts" is present the combobox "Last Part Placed" tab, which shows the last placed parts. You can choose one of them and place it, again. This avoid to waste time on looking for the library and the part itself, of an already placed part. 11

12 Rename Net If you decide to rename a net, the system will ask you if you just want to rename the selected branch or the whole net. Auto-Rename Net With this command, you can rename the nets automatically. Just set the name of the net (prefix) and the number of auto increment. Now as soon as you click in a net, it will be changed to the new name (e.g., PD1, PD2...) Align Wire Text & Note You can align the "Wire Name Text" with the "Align" command, after selecting the texts. 12

14 Align Parts Is possible to align parts to the same axis. This command also, involve the wire nets. 14

15 Report Output Custom Report Redesign the Report Output Form. Now is possible to save and open user reports. Is possible to filter reports, from SMT, PTH, MIXED and DOC Parts. Like an options, you can insert at the end of the report, a section with Not Electrical Part Data like screws, housing, wiring, labels and so on, or a software section with part software data.
