Connect the optional D6680 (Item 5 in Figure ) to COM (Item ), the top DB-9 connector on the CPU terminator card.. Use the straight modem cable provided (Item ) to connect to Channel (the DB-5 connector) of the network adapter.. Using a CAT5 Ethernet cable (Item 8), connect the other end of the network adapter (Item 5) to the network hub (Item 9).. If installing a D667 COM Expansion kit (Item ) in the receiver (Item ), connect a second optional D6680 (Item 6) to COM of the D667 (Item ). Order and install the D667 separately. Refer to the D667 Installation Guide (P/N: 99875) for details. COM is the DB-9 connector to the left of the CPU terminator card looking at the rear of the unit. Use the straight-through modem cable provided (Item ) to connect to Channel (the DB-5 connector) of the network adapter (Item 6). 5. Using a CAT5 Ethernet cable (Item 7); connect the other end of the second network adapter (Item 6) to the network hub (Item 9). 6. Connect a PC (Item ) with an Ethernet card to the network using a CAT5 Ethernet cable (Item 0). This PC connects to the network for D600 software applications and for configuring the network adapters. 7. Connect the i Network adapter (Item ) to the Ethernet hub using a CAT5 Ethernet cable (Item ). 8. Using this PC, configure the network adapters through a Telnet connection. Refer to the section entitled Configuration of the D6680 in the Conettix /i Network System Guide (P/N: 9987) for more details. Contact the network administrator for assistance. 6 Conettix /i.0 D600 Installation Overview The D600 software installs new drivers for the D60 Security Key (Dongle). Remove all security keys (dongles) before installation.
