3 WELCOME TO TITLEWAVE Go to the Titlewave web site and log in using the name and password assigned to you by your Titlewave representative. Browse the Internet to and log in to your account. Problems with exporting from the Titlewave website should be reported to Titlewave or call your Commonwealth Land Title, Lawyer s Title or Fidelity Title Insurance Company representative for assistance. Problems with importing your Titlewave file into DisplaySoft TM should be reported to Display Systems, Inc., or Support@displaysoft.com. Preparation and prerequisites, include knowing where the DisplaySoft TM Titlewave folder is located. To use the Titlewave web site, Internet Explorer may need to be configured. More information about Titlewave s web site is available in Help, See pages 9-17 to Install Active X Components and other settings or call your Titlewave representative. Page 3

4 Locate Product Enter your search criteria in the fields provided. You do not have to fill out all the fields. The Order Number is usually the quickest way to locate your file. Click the SUBMIT button to search. Type your order number here Then click Submit to search Page 4

6 Export Orders The path must contain DATA\TITLEWAVE. To locate the Data\Titlewave folder, On the Export Orders dialog window, use the Browse button, at least once, to set the correct path to the DSI\CLOSE32\DATA\TITLEWAVE folder. This page should then remember your path. Click the Export button to continue. Wait for the message that the Export Completed Successfully. If you do not see the buttons on the Export Orders web dialog window, the active x controls for Titlewave.Net may not be installed. Export Orders - Web page Dialog window BROWSE EXPORT Page 6

7 Click Ok on the Export Completed Successfully message. The Titlewave file has been sent to the DisplaySoft TM Titlewave folder. Export Orders - Web page Dialog window This is the end of the Titlewave portion of the Export process. You will use your DisplaySoft TM program to import the file. Page 7

8 Import Downloaded Titlewave File 1. File, Import 2. Select the Titlewave file 3. Select the associated DisplaySoft TM file The Import Titlewave feature is located in the Start Module under File. Select Import Downloaded Titlewave File. The next window should reflect the DisplaySoft TM filename for the Order number you exported. Select the exported Titlewave file. You can only import one file at a time. Click the OK button to continue. You will arrive at the Copy From Titlewave File window. Select the DisplaySoft TM filename associated with the order you exported from the list, if the DisplaySoft TM filename already exists, or type in a new name. If the file does not exist, it will be created and it will contain the exported Titlewave information. This step is necessary because the Titlewave order number can be different than the file s name or number for DisplaySoft TM. 4. File, Open The last step is to click on File, Open and choose the imported file. Your import is now complete. Continue as you normally would. Page 8

9 HELP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: The exported Order Number file is not in the DisplaySoft TM Import Titlewave filename list. A: The file was exported to the wrong path. Q: Will the newly exported file overwrite my data if I import it and select a file that is already in the File Open list? A: Yes. The data in Start and Insure It (Commonwealth and/or LTIC) will be replaced by the Titlewave data. Any data that is updated from Start will be changed. For example, if the Titlewave file had the spelling of the buyer/borrower name different than you originally typed it in, then Start will update the name in all your other program modules. Q. The Browse and Export buttons are missing on the Titlewave Export Order dialog window. A. Verify the Active X, Pop-up Blockers, IExplorer s Trusted Site settings and other Internet options or settings. One or more of these features are not configured. Call your Titlewave representative for assistance. 10 Locate The Titlewave Folder for DisplaySoft TM A folder labeled Titlewave is where the file you Export from the Titlewave web site is located. It is a subfolder of Data, which is a subfolder of the DisplaySoft TM program. To locate the Titlewave folder, use the DisplaySoft TM Real Estate shortcut properties to identify the path. During the Export, continue to browse, or drill down to the Data folder and then to the Titlewave folder. Find the shortcut to DisplaySoft TM Real Estate on your desktop or inside the Program Files list. Point the mouse to the traffic light then right click to see a menu. Use left click of the mouse to choose Properties. You should see a pop-up window labeled DisplaySoft TM Real Estate Properties. Write down the line you see in the Start In space. Choose the Cancel button to close the pop-up properties window. Do not change the shortcut. Use the shortcut to identify the beginning of the path to the Titlewave folder, then append Data\Titlewave to your note. When you export, start browsing at the beginning of the path as shown in the Start In of your shortcut and browse all the way to the Data\Titlewave folder. The sample below is of a default location. A network path or other customized installation of the DisplaySoft TM Software will Start In a location different then shown in the image below. Write down the path and append Data/ Titlewave to your note, but do not change the shortcut. Choose Cancel to exit without saving any changes. Page 10

11 How to Browse from the Titlewave website to the DisplaySoft TM Export Location The Titlewave folder is required to be included in the Export Path. Use the Browse button to change to the location of the DisplaySoft TM Titlewave folder. If the Titlewave folder is included in the Export Path and is still not listed in the Import Titlewave File feature, use the Browse button to locate it on another drive or volume on the network. The shortcut for DisplaySoft TM indicates the beginning of the path to where the Titlewave file will be exported. Append Data and Titlewave to the Start In or target location inside the DisplaySoft TM shortcut but do not change the shortcut. See page 10, Locate The Titlewave Folder for DisplaySoft TM for more details on how to use the DisplaySoft TM shortcut to locate the Titlewave export folder. 12 How to configure Internet Explorer to use the Titlewave Website Use the following pages for assistance in setting up Internet Explorer for use with Titlewave Topics include: Browsing History, Trusted Sites, Comfort Levels, Active X options and Download options. Open an Internet Explorer web page. Type in and you should arrive at the Titlewave web site. Tools, Internet Options, Temporary Internet Files Settings Click on Tools, then Internet Options. The Internet Options window will open. Click on the Settings button for the Browsing history section. The Temporary Internet Files and History Settings window will open. Verify the selection for Check for newer versions of this webpage option is set to Automatically. Click the OK Button when you are finished. Page 12

13 Internet Options, Security, Trusted Sites From the Internet Explorer menu bar, choose TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS. Click on the SECURITY topic. Click on Trusted Sites, then click the Sites button. Type in the space provided, then click the Add button. Make sure the box for Require server verification ( for all sites in this zone is checked. Click the OK Button when you are finished. Type in the space provided, then click the Add button. Page 13

14 Internet Options, Security, Custom Level Active X options From the Internet Explorer menu bar, choose Tools, Internet Options. Click on the Security topic. Click on the Custom Level button. Scroll down to the Active X Controls and Plug-ins heading. Verify that each Active X feature is Enabled. Click the OK Button when you are finished. Download Options Scroll down to the Downloads heading. Verify that each download feature is Enabled. Page 14

15 Internet Explorer, Tools, Compatibility View Settings From the Internet Explorer menu, click on Tools then select Compatibility View Settings. Type the website address in the Address field and click ADD then CLOSE Page 15

16 Internet Explorer, Tools, Pop-Up Blocker Settings Click on the Tools menu. Select the Pop-up Blocker option. Click on the Pop-up Blocker Settings option. The Pop-up Blocker Settings pop-up window will appear. In the Address of Web site to allow field, type and click the Add button The website will be added to the list of sites for which pop-ups are allowed. Page 16

17 Other Toolbar s Pop-Up Blocker Settings If your menu lists anything like Google, Yahoo, AOL or anything other than Standard Buttons, Address Bar or Links, you may have an additional pop-up blocking setting that needs to be turned off. If it only lists Standard Buttons, Address Bar or Links, you have completed the security settings for Titlewave. Look for the pop-up feature menu item or a button in each tool bar (Google, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) to verify that pop ups are allowed on the Titlewave website. Page 17
