1 Internet Explorer 11 Settings *Settings (steps 1-11) reference Windows 7. For Windows 8.1/10 settings, refer to page 7 Step 1: Click on Tools. (1a) Hover over SmartScreen Filter. (1b) Select Turn off SmartScreen Filter (If it reads Turn on SmartScreen Filter, then the SmartScreen Filter is already turned off). Verify the Turn off SmartScreen Filter radio button is selected. Click OK. 1b 1 1c 1a 2 Step 2: Click on Tools and select Compatibility View Settings. (2a) On the Compatibility View Settings page, add the following websites: Protegent.com Saionline.com Securitiesamerica.com 2a (2b) Select Close. *Please Note, if you do not see the menu below the Address Bar, press Alt+V which will pull up the View menu. 2 Step 3: Reopen the Tools menu and select Internet Options. (3a) select the general tab; make sure Delete browsing history on exit is unchecked. (3b) Click on the Settings button in the Browsing History section. 3 4 Step 4: Click on the Security tab and select Trusted Sites. (4a) Click on the Sites button and uncheck Require server verification ( for all sites in this zone (4b) 5 4a 4b Step 5: Add the following websites and then click Close: Aiinsight.com Bonddesk.com Cloudfront.net Envestnet.com Fidelityresearch.com Financelogix.com Foremostadvice.com Mainaccount.com Morningstar.com Protegent.com Quikforms.com Reged.com Saionline.com Securitiesamerica.com Smarsh.com Streetscape.com Wealthscape.com Vuepoint.com Step 6: Under the Security tab, click on the Custom Level button in the Security level for this zone section /02/2016 For Securities America Investment Professional Use Only Page 3 of 7

4 Step 7: In the Security Settings Trusted Sites Zone window, make the following adjustments to the settings under the appropriate categories. (7a) Set Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls to Enable. (7b) Set Display mixed content to Enable. (7c) Set Use Pop-up Blocker to Disable (7d) set Use SmartScreen Filter to Disable. 7a 7b 7c 7d Step 8: Under the Privacy tab, move the tick bar down to Low for Select a setting for the Internet zone 8 Step 9: Click on the Sites button and (9a) add the following websites to the list (Make sure to click Allow after adding in each individual website. 6 Step 11: Click on the advanced tab. Under Accelerated Graphics, check the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering (11a). Under Security, check empty Temporary internet files folder when browser is closed. 7 Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 For Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, please refer to steps Then, follow these next steps: Step 1: In Internet Explorer, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner. Choose Internet Options from the drop down menu. 1 Step 2: Click on the Programs tab and check the box in front of Open Internet Explorer tiles on the desktop. Click Make Internet Explorer the default browser and a new window will open. 2 3 Step 3: In the new window, find Internet Explorer in the scroll menu. Select Set this program as default and hit OK.
