2 Brief description SV - Server The concept of the Visu-Server allows to generate an attractive visualisation of a KNX project with a few clicks only. An IP-Gateway or IP-Router is needed in addition (e.g. Jung IPS 200 REG). 4 First step: Data export (OPC) from ETS Second step: Access to the SV Server After connecting the SV-Server (Display LED in blue) with its power supply and the network cable, the server can be accessed. The SV-Server is configured via browser only, there is no additional software needed. The SV-Server can be called up in two ways. By the command or, directly with its IPaddress, which can be found within the DHCP- list of the network router. Note: The command **sv-server.local** works only when a DNS-Server is available. You will be linked directly to the start page of the SV- Server. There, either the SV-Home or the SV-Control can be chosen SV-Home = End user visualisation (ex factory empty) SV-Control = Configuration level page 04 of 11

5 Third step: Project start In order to create a new project, choose SV-Control, the Project-page will open. A new project can be created via the Start- Button. After starting a new project, the KNX page will open up. First, the IP address of the IP gateway must be defined for the bus-communication. This will be acknowledged by a green tick. Afterwards, the group addresses from the ETS-export (OPC) can be imported to the SV-Server. The imported group addresses appear in green, indicating that these are newly imported. When further handled, the group addresses become black. Additional addresses imported later on, again will appear in green. Group addresses, not intended to use can be deleted. page 05 of 11

6 Fourth step: create rooms and functions After a successful group address import, skip to the Areas & Functions page where you can start with the configuration of the visualisation. It is recommended to create the rooms in the left column first. Important: After each work step it is necessary to save the project by pushing the arrow button. If a room was created (for example an office) functions can be added to the room (e.g. ceiling light) in 2nd column. In 3th column properties for the functions (switch, toggle, dimmer..) can be set. When all settings for ceiling light are finished, also an icon can be chosen. The settings must always be saved page 06 of 11

7 Next, the relevant group addresses must be linked to the control. There are two ways to do it. Either using the assistant button to select a group address from the list or by typing in the group addresses manually. When using the assistant button to choose group addresses from list, a new window pops up and shows all filtered group addresses from the imported project. Only plausible addresses which can be assigned to the function are shown in the list. (e.g. for switching only 1 bit addresses) In order to find an address faster, it is possible to filter and search by the four column themes. Choose the correct address from the list, this will be automatically linked. The feedback address can be linked in the same way. In addition, an initializing address can be chosen (in case of a reboot the SV-Server will make a status request to the KNX-system. (Therefore the R-flag of the actuator must be set.). After linking the addresses, please save. This process can be repeated for all functions, for blind and shutter controls, ON/OFF switches (it can selectively be switched ON or OFF, e.g. for central commands), or setpoint shift etc. page 07 of 11

8 During a configuration, it can be switched between the end user visualisation SV-Home and the configuration SV-Control at any time. To switch between the two levels, click the SV-Control label at the left side. By clicking the SV-Home label you come back to configuration level. Logic, scenes and time switch Status display: When using the status display first define the display format (1bit, 1byte, etc..), and link the group address. 9 State logic: Smart Visu Server Create a new function with the desired description (e.g: Is a light still on?). Select -> Properties -> Value / State -> State logic and specify the required logic: AND OR EXCLUSIV OR Finally, link the functions on which the logic shall be based For example - ceiling lamp - wall lamp If one of these lights is ON, it will be indicated by the state logic. Point in time: (will be created under actions ) The time switch can be fixed assigned to a room or it can be operated in the actions folder. Point in time can be configured at the SV- Control page only. In addition, a function must be assigned (e.g. Lighting) and the state it shall have (e.g. ON or OFF) after the timer triggers. 10 Event: Smart Visu Server An event is triggered by a KNX group address. Additionally, it can be triggered by a button in the SV-Home. In this example, a ceiling light will be switched OFF when the wall light is switched ON. In addition, the event can be triggered by a switch in the office. Also the threshold from a weather station (e.g. when it gets dark, the outdoor lights 1-5 shall be switched ON) can trigger an event. User defined: User defined event can be triggered only by a button in the SV-Home. Light scenes can be managed in the SV-Server as well. This has several advantages: Light scenes can be modified by the end user, and up to 250 scenes with 16 functions per scene are available. Start page: At the start page you can select the language, currently there are 14 languages available. To configure a new visualisation click the Start button (First step: Data export (OPC) from ETS). The SV-Server can handle two user profiles! On delivery only the admin profile is activated. A second profile (user, with limited access) is activated by setting a password in the box Lock GA editing using password. Then you always log-in as user. To get full access again, please enter your password. The complete system including all group addresses and settings can be saved by the Backup button. This Backup can be saved as a CSV file. To restore a SV-Server you can click the Restore button and choose one of your saved project files (CSV file). Important: The SV-Server can handle only one active project. 11 Settings: DHCP: By using DHCP the SV-Server receive s all relevant network settings automatically from the DHCP server. This DHCP server can be a router or an external server. Static: By using the static network settings you can edit all settings by yourself. Important: basic network knowledge is required. IP- address: You can set a specific IP address for the SV-Server. Subnet Mask: Here you can set a subnet address according your network class! Example: class C network = subnet. DNS- Server: Domain Name System (name resolution) Here you can set a DNS IP address.. As a rule this is the same IP address as your router if it supports DNS! DNS is needed to be forwarded by using "sv-server.local" in the browser address box. Gateway: The SV-Server needs a gateway address to get internet access, or to be reachable by remote access. As a rule this is the same IP address like your router. Date and time: Settings are buffered; in future, a request to a NTP-Server will be possible. Update: Available updates are indicated there. To start an update, please click the Start button, a process bar will be shown. Technical documentation: A technical description you can be opened by question mark symbol.
