It is licensed based on installation requirements (units) and is offered as a Starter Package which includes the full feature label design features and functions of LabelGallery PLUS and one deployment license. Label Gallery is a labeling software product which allows for label design and printing solutions to maximize and compliment the features of SATO printer models. Label Gallery is available in various editions to boost operational productivity at the price level of affordability based on user labeling requirements. Label Gallery is Microsoft Windows Vista certified and is supplied with Gallery Drivers, which are Microsoft Windows 32-bit or 64-bit compatible printer drivers, for support of all SATO printer models. What are the offering and features of Label Gallery? Label Gallery is available in the following editions: Label Gallery FREE: Limited basic labeling functionality to allow you to design label formats and print to your SATO printer. Label Gallery EASY: Offers the essential features suitable for users with basic label design and printing needs and is fully wizard driven to minimize label design. The software supports linear and 2D barcodes, linked fields, counters and date addition. Label Galley PLUS: Full featured label design for advanced labeling requirements. The software supports RFID labeling (UHF EPC/GEN2 and HF inlays), data manipulation, user login access, logging of print jobs, VB Scripting. SATO is pleased to announce the ability of existing Label Gallery installations the means to upgrade to Label Gallery version 3 and to take advantage of the latest development features and support. Label Gallery is offered either as a single user installation (each workstation installation has its own software copy) or installed using Label Gallery TruePro Network edition. It is offered in 5, 10, 20 or 50 user licenses. With the network installation, the software is installed in a shared folder on a file server and then installed on each workstation for the number of licenses. These are seat licenses meaning up to the number of available user licenses can be used concurrently. Can I use Label Gallery remotely on my laptop with the Network installation? By default, all workstations computers must be connected to the file server where Label Gallery is installed for the License Manager to account for the available number of users. Label Gallery TruePro Network allows for the licensing manager to issue offline license, which will occupy one license and thus reduce the number of available licenses by one. Refer to the online help topic for specifics of using License Manager application and limitations of Offline mode. Can I try Label Gallery? Label Gallery is sold as a retail product. SATO offers Label Gallery FREE to allow basic labeling functions and design. However, any of the retail editions (Easy/Plus/TruePro) can be installed and are fully functional and will run in demo mode, with the caveat of inherent limitations to prevent misuse of the product. SATO embraces the try before you buy philosophy to ensure the appropriate Label Gallery edition meets your needs and encourages to download/install to take advantage of capabilities that best suit your needs.

11 Does Label Gallery use hardware dongles? Label Galley retail editions (EASY/PLUS/TRUEPRO) use dongle-less (software) activation. This is our standard means to activate the software once installed and offers the convenience of not keeping up with a hardware key that can be lost, stolen or non-functioning. However, we also acknowledge some customers prefer to have the availability of the hardware dongle. In those cases, we can order Label Gallery edition with USB key at an additional cost of the hardware dongle. The part number is the same except it is designated with a U (USB) instead of an N (no dongle). Does Label Gallery print to other printer models? Label Gallery is specifically developed to compliment SATO printer models only. You must install the appropriate SATO Label Gallery printer driver in order for it to work. The current drivers are available for download from Can Label Gallery open other label files/formats? Label Gallery 3 is backwards compatible with label formats designed by previous versions of Label Gallery. However, if you design or modify label format and save using Label Gallery 3 and then attempt to open with previous version, you will receive a message indicating it may not open successfully. In most cases, simply acknowledge the message and it will allow you to open with earlier version (depending on what functions of the label design contains). Label Gallery will not open label formats designed in other software packages. Does Label Gallery have print only versions? Yes, both Label Gallery PLUS and Label Gallery TRUEPRO editions have print only versions. This will allow a label format designed using full version of Label Gallery to print from workstation with out the additional expense of the full version installed. For Label Gallery TRUEPRO edition, ensure you install all related modules such as Gallery Form or Gallery Print to be able to print using those methods as well. Can Label Gallery impose user restrictions? Yes. With either Label Gallery PLUS or Label Gallery TRUERPO editions, you can enable login restrictions which will require the user to enter their login name/password (or use Windows login credentials). The software supports different access permissions to various parts of the applications. For example, the access can be granted on print only, design only, view only level, or full administrative access level. How can I automate printing? Label Gallery TRUEPRO provides the best means of labeling printing via the Gallery Watch module. It provides an interface to allow triggers to be defined based on event(s) and can easily be linked back to label format and designated printer to be imaged. It can be run as a Windows service thus allowing for background processing without need of monitoring. Other means are via command line statements with.job files or for ultimate control, the use of ActiveX commands. The Label Gallery SDK allows for this type of functionality and can be designed around other front end applications to take advantage of LGEngine components for a seamless approach to label printing. Can I reprint labels? With either Label Gallery PLUS or Label Gallery TRUEPRO, the Gallery PrintQueue and enabling logging of print jobs will allow reprinting labels and if necessary, redirecting labeling print jobs from one printer to another.
