1 Appendix C - Moving LeOM into the AOTOEXEC File A memory resident program LCOM.EXE is loaded at the start of LOG- DG and helps control the serial communication with the digitizer. The user may wish to add this program to their AUTOEXEC file to prevent interference with other memory resident programs. To date, we have not noticed any problems with other memory resident programs such as SDEKCK or SUPERKEY. To add LCOM to the AUTOEXEC file, edit the file with EDLN or a word processor to change subdirectories to where LCOM is located (if necessary), and add LCOM. 2 Appendix D - Log Curve File - Default.DT2 The curve list which appears on-screen when the user selects <NEW LOG> is saved in an ASC file and can be edited as desired. nformation contained in this file is the curve name, refernece code, whether the curve is linear or logarithmic, and the on and off scale values. 3 Appendix E - Sample Data Files LOGDG allows for three file formats TLG (The Logic Group), LAS, and QLA (Schlumberger's Quick Log Analysis ASC format). Each of these formats contain a column formatted ASC file. The difference between the files is how the header information is presented and the order of the columns of data. Below are examples of each file format. Example - TLG Format tr This file format can directly be used in The Logic Group's Well Log nterpretation programs, LOGCROSS, LOGAUTO, LOGPRNT, LOGCORRELATE, and SSA. After converting the file using EDTFLE, the data can also be used in LOGAN. Since the file is in a simple card image format, the digitized data can be read directly into LOTUS or other spreadsheets, databases, or application programs. Page 53
